Principal’s Newsletter Northeast High School

March/April 2014

Dear Northeast Parents,

Eagles are off to a great start for the new semester. You will know exactly how well your Eagle is doing when Interim Reports come home with your student on March 1 (please contact the main office if you need to be “plugged in” to your student’s grades through Parent Connect).

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the 79 students who achieved perfect attendance for the 1st semester, and the 92 students who had perfect attendance for the 2nd marking period. This achievement shows dedication and perseverance, and these students are to be commended for this achievement. What our students are doing once inside their classrooms is also spectacular. The Superintendent’s Honor Roll was achieved by 4 students, 45 students made the Principal’s Honor Roll, while 549 students made Honor Roll. Congratulations to these students whose hard work is paying great dividends as they march toward graduation.

If you are the parent of a senior, this is the time of year to keep checking with your student to make sure they are finishing strong and taking care of all their senior business as their graduation date of May 30th begins to draw near. Seniors, STAY THE COURSE. Be sure that you complete, fully and completely, your work as a Northeast Eagle. We look forward to your ceremony being a special one as you will be the first class to graduate at our new facility here at Northeast High School.

Parents of our underclassman, your students are meeting with their counselors to finalize their course selection sheets and choose courses that will get them to their post-secondary opportunity. Soon, your student will bring home their course verification sheet for you to sign. Please be sure to review the course verification sheet with your student and make changes that you feel are necessary. This will be the last opportunity to change courses for next year.

Finally, please check out our website at northeasthigh.org for information, events, and aspects of student life here at the Home of the Eagle.

We are Northeast,

Jason T. Williams Principal

Here’s How to Purchase Your Child’s Yearbook:

Click on “Yearbooks” then click the link that says “Buy Your Yearbook.” Enter “Northeast Senior High School Pasadena, MD,” and our school will pop up in a drop down menu. 4. Click on Northeast Senior High School Pasadena, MD. 5. Follow the online instructions for personalization and payment.

ReplayIt™

Help make our 2013-2014 Time Capsule a huge success by uploading photos! Jostens staff will screen photos for appropriateness before placing them on the ReplayIt™ site. On June 30, 2014, the “Time Capsule” will be sealed permanently. Only students who have purchased a yearbook will be able to view the Time Capsule, free, forever. Go to www.replayit.com/r/. Use the school’s password, EaglesSoar, to create an account and share your memories with your fellow Eagles forever.
