Following the 1993 season, Pennewill made the move to Drexel where he guid- ed the Division I Dragons for five seasons, posting an 88-96 overall record. His teams compiled a 20-17 mark in the America East Conference over five seasons and advanced to the conference semifinals in each of those seasons. The 1996 Drexel squad finished second in the America East with a 5-2 record. After moving on from Drexel, Pennewill took the head coaching position at Clarion University where he spent two seasons and recorded a 34-48 mark, helping the Golden Eagles rebuild their program in the PSAC. Pennewill spent the 1999 and 2000 seasons at Clarion before returning to Mill- ersville for the 2001 campaign. He helped the Marauders reach the PSAC Semifinals again that season.
