Samuel Munro of Yonge

Samuel was the son of John Munro, a Loyalist who was killed by the rebels during the revolution and Catharine Reid who brought her family to late in the war. She was granted Loyalist status. In 1836 Samuel Munro filed a petition as follows: The Petition of Samuel Munro on the township of York, yeoman, Humbly sheweth that your petitioner is the son of Catherine Leach late of the County of Leeds in the Johnstown District Deceased formerly widow of John Munro also deceased that said Catherine Leach is entered on the list of the province as a U.E.
