Therefore, it is relatively easy for farmers to adopt its technical cultivation. Moreover, 80% of fishery products in Southeast Sulawesi are seaweed commodities. This study was to know the income of seaweed in Southeast Sulawesi and the coping strategy of climate change effect. Materials and Methods: This research was carried out from September-December, 2019 in Regency of Central Buton and Bombana, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. There were 311 farmers selected by simple random sampling. Primary data was collected through direct face to face interviews guided by questionnaires, while secondary data was obtained from documentary observation from related institutions. This was then analyzed descriptively. Results: The result revealed that the average income of seaweed farmers is approximately IDR 8,566,000 for each production season. Moreover, in conforming climate change, farmers had been prepared with superior and qualified seed and strong construction stretch which was relatively safe for deeper waters. At the same time, they also had livelihood alternatives.

These problems underlie the societies’ rejection of the surrounding mining activities. Likewise, the resistance of peasant societies in the Konawe Kepulauan Regency was vociferously voiced from 2015 to 2019. On this basis, this article aims to analyze the dynamics, strategies, and rationality of the resistance of peasant societies in the Konawe Kepulauan Regency. Methodologically, the research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach through discourse analysis. Data was collected by various news in the mass media from 2015 to 2019. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded two basic things. First, the dynamics of the resistance of the peasant society shows the pattern of daily resistance by involving a coalition of civil society as its strategy. Resistance is carried out in the form of joint demonstrations by unity student action and through advocacy by legal aid agencies. Second, the rationality of the resistance of the peasant societies in the Konawe Kepulauan Regency reflects the socio- ecological and socio-juridical rationality based on the ethics of subsistence by the principle of safety first. Keywords---Mining Discourse, Peasant Society, Social Resistance. 1 Introduction Indonesia is a country rich in natural resource potential, both renewable (agricultural products) and non-renewable (mining and mineral products).

This paper is aimed to describe characacristics of chromite deposits. This study is conducted in three stages, three stages including desk study, field work and laboratory analysis. Desk study mainly covers literature reviews. Field work includes mapping of surface geology and sampling of representative rocks types. Laboratory analysis includes the petrologic observation of handspecimen samples, petrographic analysis of the thin section and ore microscopy for polished section. The results of petrographic analysis show that olivine minerals are generally replaced by minerals orthopyroxene and has been alterated by lizardite type serpentine veins with a fractured structure. The mineral olivine is also replaced by the mineral chrysotile as a secondary mineral with a fibrous structure. Based on ore microscopy analysis show that chromite has generally experienced a lateritification process and has been replaced by magnetite, hematite and geotite minerals. Chromite has experience process of weathering and alteration from its source rock caused by tectonics that occurred in the study area.

The study was conducted in the form of a survey in June - November 2018. The survey location covered six sub- districts with the highest buffalo population representing the land area and the island of Kabaena. All buffalo breeders in the six sub- districts namely 74 people were taken as respondents. The total buffalo population is 557 or 73.6% of the total buffalo in Bombana Regency. The parameters observed were Net BCR, NPV, IRR and PBP. The results showed that the buffalo breeding based on smallholder farms in Bombana Regency was reliable to sustain with a Net BCR value of 1.26, a positive NPV of Rp. 113.508,000, IRR 25.85% and PBP 7.07 years. It is necessary for the government to motivate farmers, facilitate access to capital and facilitate provision of facilities and infrastructure in order to support the development of buffalo breeding business in Bombana Regency. Integrated Coastal and Small Island Development Plant-livestock Based in Kolaka Regency :Paper LAODE MUH. MUNADI Postgraduate Agricultural Sciences, Halu Oleo University Kendari, South East Sulawesi [email protected] CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Livestock area is an area specifically intended for livestock activities or integrated as a component of farming (based on food crops, plantations, horticulture, or fisheries) and integrated as an ecosystem component. The development of farm areas should pay attention to the optimization of local resources and regional development policy strategies. Basically sustainable agriculture development is the implementation of the concept of sustainable development that aims to increase the income and welfare of the farming community at large. The natural wealth and biodiversity of these small islands become the basic capital in the development of the nation. Small islands not only have strategic value for national economic development and improving people's welfare, but are also vulnerable to environmental damage which is one of the factors caused by mismanagement and unwise regardless of environmental support. Coastal areas and small islands are new development areas that have enormous potential for improving the welfare of communities, especially coastal communities. This area in addition to having conservation functions, also has other functions are very important for the provision of marine goods and services. This great potential needs to be managed with an integrated approach between sectors so that the whole function can be utilized properly and sustainably. In addition to land limitations as a source of feed, the development of beef cattle is also faced with the quality of feed. So the issue of increasingly sharp land use competition will be a serious problem, the fact shows that, competition in land use has an unfavorable impact on the livestock sub-sector.
