HRPCH News Flash Special Events and Outreach: October 2012

October was a fun-filled month for HRPCH! To kick-off the month, Client Services Specialists Mayra and Claudia, attended the UTSA SECC Agency Fair. On October 2nd, Emilio Arriola attended National Night Out at La Trinidad UMC. HRPCH also celebrated Boss’s Day on October 16th. The entire HRPCH team was privileged to attend the United Way Luncheon on October 18th and received the Pacesetter and Silver Awards. HRPCH Executive Director, Jorge Medina, was recognized as a Leadership Contributor by pledging $500 or more! To end the month, Mayra, Emilio, and Valerie attended Fox 29 KABB’s Treat Street on October 27th and Claudia participated in the Avance Fall Fest.

Diaper Bank Wish List Give the gift of a clean diaper this holiday season.

The HRPCH Diaper Bank has distributed diapers and baby items to over 1,800 babies since the program

began in March of 2011. That assistance would not have been possible without the generous

support of donors like you! We are currently in need of the following items for the Diaper Bank:

 Diapers: We accept sizes Newborn to 6. We also accept all Pull-up sizes ranging from 2T-3T; boy and girl

designs.

 : We accept all baby food jars (fruits, vegetables, meats, pastas) that are unopened and that are not

expired.

 Toddler snacks: All toddler snacks are accepted and we ask that the packages be unopened and that the

snacks are not expired.

 Baby formula: All formula types and brands are accepted. We ask that the formula

canisters be unopened and that they are not expired.

The following baby items are currently needed:

 Wipes

 Strollers

 Car seats

 products

 Baby and : new or gently used items are accepted. Sizes: Newborn to Toddler.

HRPCH News Flash Special Events and Outreach: November 2012

During November, the HRPCH team recognized Veterans Day on November 12, 2012. Mayra Gonzales parcipated in the Catholic Charies Resource Fair where she handed out HRPCH informaonal materials. HRPCH team member Claudia Franco celebrated a birthday and everyone was thankful for the wonderful Thanksgiving holidays. Breaking News: HRPCH was recently name a RATED 2012 Non-Profit on the Great Nonprofits Reviews website! Visit www.greatnonprofits.org and search for us to read or add a review!

The Naonal Diaper Bank provided 140 boxes of March of Dimes shared 100 Johnson & Johnson baby bath sets with the Diaper Huggies brand diapers to Bank! the HRPCH Diaper Bank!

UTSA student Torrie Jackson, President of the Omicron Tau Chapter and the ladies of Alpha Frost Naonal Bank’s Human Resources collected Kappa Alpha held a diaper and numerous diapers and baby items to help families in baby item drive! need! Thank you!

December 2012 There is a lot to look forward to for the month of December! We will host our Annual Board Meeng on December 10th. This has been a great year overall and we cannot wait unl next year!
