UNLV ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SILVER STATE AWARD March 5, 2013 – The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2013 Silver State Award. The Silver State Award was established by the UNLV Alumni Association in 1977. It’s designed to recognize a nonalumnus/a for their significant contributions and support to the university and the community at large. The award is not based on accomplishments achieved during the current year but on contributions over their lifetime. The award recipient will have brought positive notoriety to the university through their actions. The honoree will be selected by the association from nominations received by the Jul. 1, 2013 deadline. The award is presented at the annual homecoming event in October or November 2013.
