Stats, stats, and then someBy NeptunedgeAlthough every playoff game, including super bowls, is inside this edition, I think that it should have small entries for each game. Even a small anecdote about a specific player featured within each game would enliven it a bit. I gravitate to statistics, so I still appreciate the great scope of this book.1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Completely useless and serves no purpose in the modern world.By CNSI don't think I've ever been so disappointed with any book I've ever purchased from , and I've purchased a lot. Here is what this book has:A history section (covers the entire history of the playoffs with just 3 pages. Very little detail)Game Statistic Summaries (which you could easily look up on pro- football-reference.com)Player statistics (which you could easily look up on pro-football-reference,com)Coach Statistics (which you could easily look up on pro-football-reference,com)All-Time Records (which you could easily look up on pro-football-reference,com)That's it! Literally everything in this book can be found online for free, most of it on a single website. The main thing I was looking for when I bought this book were play-by-play recaps of every game, stating every play of every drive. But this book doesn't have any of those at all. This just defies rational explanation. Play-by-play summaries would be the only reason for this book to exist, since pro-football-reference.com doesn't have any of those before the 2003 playoffs (hopefully they will eventually). This has got to be one of the most useless and irrelevant books ever printed. It's nothing but a costly alternative to looking up information that is widely available through cost-free and more convenient means.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Encyclopedia of playoffsBy hdknowledgeThis book has all the stats and leaders of every playolff game and it has career leaders also. It is 4 stars because it doesn't have the starting lineups of each game. The only weak point.
