About the Hacienda Tobosi Hacienda Tobosi is located in the El Guarco, Cartago region of Costa Rica. With its rich, fertile soil and ideal micro-climate, El Guarco is widely recognized as a prized growing region with high-quality coffee. The Arabica bean produced in this region yields coffee with an excellent body, medium acidity and singular aroma. Hacienda Tobosi was created in 2010 by don Jorge Brenes with a goal of producing the highest quality specialty coffee. In order to achieve this goal the farmland was rigorously analyzed. The farmers planted specific varietials to optimize the farming conditions of the different sections of the farm. Coffee Specification Hacienda Tobosi’s hard work and high standards have Region: El Guarco, Cartago not gone unrecognized. In 2017 Tobosi won 1st place in the Costa Rica Cup of Excellence competition and in Altitude: 1450 meters ASL 2018 it took 2nd place.
