2018-2019 Year in Review A Letter From the CCEF President & Executive Director Together, we make great things happen! Thanks to you, CCEF contributed $766,272 in 2018-19 to fund transformative enrichment opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) for all CCUSD students. CCEF is proud to partner with individuals, foundations, local businesses and corporations to elevate the quality of our public schools in Culver City. Together, we have made the following possible: • Collaborative hands-on creative designing, experimenting, and problem solving as students deeply engage in science, engineering and tinkering in Makerspaces • Literacy and history concepts brought to life through the Front & Center Theatre Collaborative in all schools • Teaching the healthy benefits of growing and eating vegetables through the GrowingGreat nutrition curriculum and school learning gardens • Music Education for all K-3 students, improving self-esteem, listening and math skills, and inspiring creativity • A prepaid college or trade-school application for EVERY eligible Culver City High School student, regardless of need, encouraging every senior to reach for their dreams - #iApplied • Securing $400,000 in seed funding for the establishment of an Arts Endowment managed by CCEF on behalf of CCUSD, with a goal of creating stable long-term funding to sustain Arts Education for generations of students to come Looking ahead CCEF aims to raise even more funds to increase access and equity for expanded STEAM programs. Together we can inspire and prepare all our students for successful futures.
