Three Universities Open Masters Programs in Higher Education Management Tuesday, December 09, 2019 http://news.ipb.ac.id Posted by admin on 12 December 2014 Three universities, colleges namely University of Brawijaya (UB), University of Gadjah Mada (UGM), and Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), open Master Programs of Higher Education Management (MMPT) as the mandate of the Directorate of Higher Education. "University of Indonesia (UI) also holds the same mandate, but has not opened such a program until now," said Head of MMPT Studies Program, Prof. Dr Ir. Sahid Susanto, MS., accompanied by his secretary Dr. Ing. Ir. Singgih Hawibowo during the visit of MMPT students majoring in Management and Business (MB), Batch EK16, Graduate School of IPB. Further, Prof. Sahid said MMPT aims to prepare human resources of a master degree with the competence in higher education management and improving their capacity as an actor, manager or regulator / bureaucrats in the administration of higher professional education. "In developed countries like the United States and Germany, and doctoral programs of higher education management has been around since the 1950s. In Indonesia, this has been in the last four years. In the future besides offering the Master degree in higher education management, Higher Education will also open a doctoral degree program in Higher Education Management. Master program in higher education management is especially directed to the educational personnel of higher education," said Prof. Sahid. According to him, UGM has opened such a program for four batches, while IPB has just opened three batches. Now through the Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM), Unites Stated (USAID) in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher Education is offering HELM Course Program of t2014 in the form of blended learning online for five universities that offer MMP: the above three universities added with State University of Jakarta (UNJ) and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). "In 2015 each university in Indonesian in charge of MMPT will send two representatives for a comparative study of six months in the USA," said Prof. Sahid. Assistant Director of Resources and Finance, MB-IPB, Dr. Ir. Idqan Fahmi, M.Ec in his speech, the visit of MMPT-MB IPB students of batch EK16 is for a comparative study of university management, in particular its implementation, quality assurance and marketing at UGM. "We want to find out more in the management of the three issues in UGM. For information these students of MMPT IPB EK16 or the second batch are from a variety of backgrounds including Tadulako University, Andalas University, Directorate of Higher Education, Kopertis and IPB," said Dr. Idqan. Previously, the students of MMPT-MB IPB EK16 were warmly received by and discussed with the Academic Director of UGM, Dr.Agr. Ir. Sri Peni Wastutiningsih, Head of Quality Assurance, Prof. Dr Kusminarto and Head of Public Relations of UGM, Wijayanti, M.Sc. (Mtd) .
