June 9, 2021 Powerball Drawing Results FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MEDIA CONTACT: Media Relations, 512-344-5131 [email protected] UPDATE: JUNE 9, 2021 POWERBALL DRAWING RESULTS Statement from the Multi-State Lottery Association: UPDATE - 10:45 p.m. CT - June 10, 2021 The draw results for the June 9 Powerball drawing have been finalized, and the estimated jackpot for the Saturday, June 12 drawing has posted to Powerball.com. Retailers may begin paying claims on winning tickets from the June 9 drawing. Thank you to our players for their patience. Again, we apologize for the reporting delay. Previous Post - June 10, 2021 The Powerball drawing from last night is complete and winning numbers have been posted to the Powerball website. There has been a delay in finalizing the draw results that will allow the jackpot for the next drawing to be calculated and winning tickets to be paid. While the majority of jurisdictions were able to verify the number of winners in each prize tier quickly, additional processing time was required for one jurisdiction. While we apologize for the delay in delivering the information to the public, the additional time enables us to ensure that we are reporting the official and verified number of prize winners. Please hold on to your tickets, and we will let you know when retailers are able to make claims on winning tickets from the June 9, 2021 drawing. • Pennsylvania Lottery Profit Report
Pennsylvania Lottery Profit Report As Required by Act 53 of 2008 2013 END OF FISCAL YEAR 2012-13 ANALYSIS The Pennsylvania Lottery set a new sales record for fiscal year 2012-13 of $3.700 billion, surpassing the $3.481 billion record set in fiscal year 2011-12 by $219 million or 6.3 percent. This is the third year in a row that the Lottery has set a record in total sales. The Lottery also achieved record profits of $1.067 billion for fiscal year 2012-13 which represents a $6.5 million or 0.6 percent increase over fiscal year 2011-12 total profits of $1.061 billion. This is the fourth year in a row that the Lottery has seen an increase in total profits. The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery that designates all its proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since its inception in 1971, the Pennsylvania Lottery has contributed more than $23.7 billion to programs that include property tax and rent rebates; free and reduced-fare transit; the low-cost prescription drug programs PACE and PACENET; long-term living services; and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including full- and part-time senior centers throughout the state. As demand for Lottery funding increases, the Lottery must grow profits to satisfy that demand. Key ways to grow sales and profits include growing the Lottery retail network into additional points of distribution and broadening the player base, both concepts discussed herein. Profit can also be maximized when artificial sales barriers are removed, which is the foundation of this profit report and the legislative reprieve from Lottery’s 30 percent profit mandate.

For Immediate Release April 2, 2020 Contact: Anna Domoto 515-453-1401 [email protected] Update – Game sales and interest rates to determine advertised Powerball jackpot Guaranteed starting jackpot amounts & minimum jackpot increases to be eliminated URBANDALE, Iowa – The Powerball Product Group today announced its decision to determine Powerball’s advertised jackpot based on game sales and interest rates. Following the April 8 drawing, guaranteed starting jackpot amounts and minimum jackpot increases will be eliminated, and future jackpot increases will be determined and announced by the Product Group prior to each drawing. Previously, Powerball® jackpots started at $40 million (annuity) and increased by a minimum of $10 million (annuity) between drawings. “These changes are necessary to ensure that ticket sales can support the Powerball jackpot and other lower-tier cash prizes,” said Gregg Mineo, Powerball Product Group Chairman and Maine Lottery Director. “Our number one priority is making sure that the Powerball game can continue to assist lotteries in raising proceeds for their beneficiaries.” The Powerball Product Group announced plans last week to reduce the starting jackpot to $20 million (annuity) and minimum jackpot increases to $2 million (annuity) between drawings. Those changes were scheduled to go into effect after the current jackpot was won. However, due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the Powerball Product Group revisited the topic and decided Powerball’s advertised jackpot should be determined by game sales and interest rates effective following the drawing next Wednesday. “Since last week, more states and cities have asked their residents to stay at home, which has affected normal consumer behaviors and Powerball game sales,” said Mineo.

The second is the gaming software used to operate the games. 3. The third part of the system is the communication network. A satellite link, dual cellular or frame relay data line connects your sales terminal to the central system. 4. The sales terminals are the fourth part of the online system. 5. • Texas Lottery Suspends Sales of Monopoly Millionaires' Club ™ Game
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 MEDIA CONTACT: Media Relations, 512-344-5131 [email protected] TEXAS LOTTERY SUSPENDS SALES OF MONOPOLY ™ MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB GAME (AUSTIN) – The Texas Lottery announced today that it will suspend sales of the multi-state MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ game following the drawing on Friday, Dec.12. Texas is one of 23 states participating in the game that was launched on Oct. 19. Sales for the game have not met the lottery industry’s projections and have continued to decline nationally since its introduction. After careful review, the Texas Lottery has decided to suspend sales of the game because of the prize liability risk created by the unexpected low sales of the game. “This is a difficult business decision that is based on numerous discussions regarding the health and viability of this game, both here in Texas and nationally,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery. “Unfortunately, players have not embraced the game as anticipated, and our options to change the game while it is being sold are limited in scope and challenging to implement. I believe it’s critical for the Texas Lottery to take a step back, reduce our liability risk, participate in the ongoing national discussions regarding the game’s future, and carefully monitor what the next steps are.” MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ players in Texas will be able to claim prizes for 180 days following the draw date. About the Texas Lottery Beginning with the first ticket sold in 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated $22 billion in revenue for the state and distributed $44 billion in prizes to lottery players.
