They use the pull tops to raise funds for the Shriners Children’s Hospitals. Shriners Hospitals for Children have been collecting pull-tabs or “pop-tops” from beverage cans since 1989, recycling them, and putting the money toward programs that directly benefit children. PET Adoptions – Nevada Humane Society & SPCA of N. NV will have dogs, cats and other critters up for adoption. Adoption shouldn’t be decided on a whim, so plan ahead and then visit Animalia at Earth Day to give a forever home to a pet who will adore you. Several other rescue groups for particular breeds and species will also be there.
