Anti-HRK (middle region) polyclonal antibody (CPBT-66330RH) This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic use.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Product Overview This product detects Harakiri (HRK), also known as DP5. HRK is a BH3 only of the Bcl-2 family, which promotes Bax dependent . HRK regulates apoptosis through its interaction with the anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL, and in conjunction to the mitochondrial pore forming protein p32. HRK is thought to have a specific role in initiating neuronal and haematopoietic cell apoptosis, in particular to growth factor deprivation. Aberrant methylation of HRK is frequently detected in primary colorectal cancers. Despite its predicted molecular weight, HRK often migrates at 12-15kD. Western Blotting detects a band of approximately 13kDa in mouse pancreas tissue lysate.
