14 Established 1961 Sports Tuesday, November 28, 2017 Carson Wentz leads NFL-leading Eagles past Chicago Bears, 31-3 Broncos lose 7 games in a row for the first time in 50 years PHILADELPHIA: Carson Wentz tossed three touch- fake punt run in the first quarter. Trevor Reilly left with down passes and the NFL-leading Philadelphia Eagles a head injury after a collision. DL Trey Flowers (ribs) beat the Chicago Bears 31-3 Sunday for their ninth and LB Marquis Flowers left in the third quarter after a straight win. The Eagles (10-1) reduced their magic collision., and OL LaAdrian Waddle left in the fourth number to clinch the NFC East to one with their fourth quarter with an ankle injury. LB Kyle Van Noy (leg) was consecutive win by at least 23 points and third in a row able to walk off the field on his own after being shaken by exactly 28. Philadelphia would secure its first divi- up in the fourth. sion title since 2013 if the Cowboys (5-6) lose or tie Washington on Thursday night. Wentz had 227 yards FALCONS 34, BUCCANEERS 20 passing, LeGarrette Blount ran for 97 yards and Zach Julio Jones hauled in 12 passes for 253 yards and two Ertz caught 10 passes for 103 yards and one TD. The touchdowns in one of the best games of his career. defense dominated rookie quarterback Mitchell Rekindling memories of the Super Bowl, the Falcons (7- Trubisky and the inept Bears (3-8), holding them to 4) nearly squandered a big lead to a team playing its zero first downs in the first half and 140 total yards in third game without injured quarterback Jameis the game. -

The conference is again filled with dynamic offenses. This season as a whole, there are plenty of solid teams, but Oklahoma and Texas look to reign supreme. Oklahoma Sooners: The Oklahoma Sooners were blown out in their season finale against Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl last season. With quarterback Landry Jones in the NFL, the quarterback position is wide open between junior Blake Bell, sophomore Kendal Thompson and freshman Trevor Knight. Bell is projected as the starter, but it is unknown what he can bring to the Sooners passing game. In two seasons, Bell was the Sooners goal line specialist and scored 24 career rushing touchdowns. However, he has not thrown for a touchdown. Running back Damien Williams brings experience to the backfield. Williams finished with 976 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Sooners return seven players to its offense, but the defense only brings back four to its unit. The defensive secondary needs a lot of holes to be filled as only junior cornerback Aaron Colvin comes back. Players to watch on offense: QB Blake Bell and RB Damien Williams Players to watch on defense: CB Aaron Colvin and DE Chuka Ndulue 4 Texas Longhorns: To Longhorn fans, last year’s 9-4 record was an ok season, but not a good or great season as it would be for many programs. -
