Not since the 1928 season have the INSIDE THE MATCH-UP Spiders had a true “home” game, having played downtown at UR Stadium since 1929. • The game is arguably one of the marquee non-conference match-ups in the FCS this season, pitting Richmond Spiders Top-10 powerhouses Richmond (ranked ninth) and Elon (ranked seventh). Just 10 months ago, the Record: 0-1 (0-0 CAA) Spiders knocked the Phoenix out of the NCAA Playoffs with a 16-13 victory in the second-to-last game Rank: No. 9 (Sports Network) ever played at UR Stadium. Last Game: Loss at Virginia, 34-13 (9/4/10) • Richmond is coming off an early bye week after falling at Virginia in the season-opener on Sept. 4.
