law.nd.edu/commencement HOW TO WEAR YOUR REGALIA

• The tassel on your tam should hang over your left shoulder.

• ●The Hammes Bookstore will give you a commemorative purple tassel. This is yours to keep and should not be worn during the ceremonies.

• Your gown should be zipped in the front, and the small, narrow point of your hood should be at the base of your throat. A small loop at the bottom of the hood can be connected to a button inside the front zipper of the gown to keep it in place.

• During the Law School Diploma and Hooding Ceremony, you will carry your hood over your right arm — small point to the outside, velvet toward your wrist. It will be placed over your shoulders when you are hooded at the ceremony. Make sure the button and loop in the middle of the hood are not connected.

• Return your regalia to the Hammes Bookstore by Thursday, May 23, to avoid late fees.
