Bible Study The Book of Hosea Chapters 11:1−14:9 Amazing Love As we approach the last three chapters of the book of Hosea, we see God’s continued compassion and love for His people. In spite of God’s protection and love for Israel, they persisted in idolatry. The story of Hosea and Gomer is a portrait of God’s never ending love for Israel, and for believers today. The book of Hosea reminds us of God’s grace and mercy to retrieve, reconcile, and restore broken relationships. God’s love is amazing because it’s not based on our performance or the lack thereof; but God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. In Hosea chapters 11-14, Hosea reminds Israel of God’s continuing loving concern for them by presenting the clear evidences of God’s love. In the remaining chapters of Hosea, we see God’s mercy, discipline, and promises of a brighter future. God’s mercies in the past. (Hosea 11: 1-12) God’s discipline in the present.
