Uma perspectiva musicológica sobre a formação da categoria ciberpunk na música para audiovisuais – entre 1982 e 2017 André Filipe Cecília Malhado Dissertação de Mestrado em Ciências Musicais Área de especialização em Musicologia Histórica Setembro de 2019 I Dissertação apresentada para cumprimento dos requisitos necessários à obtenção do grau de Mestre em Ciências Musicais – Área de especialização em Musicologia Histórica, realizada sob a orientação científica da Professora Doutora Paula Gomes Ribeiro. II Às duas mulheres da minha vida que permanecem no ciberespaço do meu pensamento: Sara e Maria de Lourdes E aos dois homens da minha vida com quem conecto no meu quotidiano: Joaquim e Ricardo III Agradecimentos Mesmo tratando-se de um estudo de musicologia histórica, é preciso destacar que o meu objecto, problemática, e uma componente muito substancial do método foram direccionados para a sociologia. Por essa razão, o tema desta dissertação só foi possível porque o fenómeno social da música ciberpunk resulta do esforço colectivo dos participantes dentro da cultura, e é para eles que direciono o meu primeiro grande agradecimento. Sinto-me grato a todos os fãs do ciberpunk por manterem viva esta cultura, e por construírem à qual também pertenço, e espero, enquanto aca-fã, ter sido capaz de fazer jus à sua importância e aos discursos dos seus intervenientes. Glossario: - Anime: termine con cui si fa riferimento alle serie televisive animate prodotte in Giappone, spesso adattamenti televisivi di romanzi brevi o manga, talvolta videogiochi. - Arcade: prestito linguistico dall’inglese, termine con cui ci si riferisce alle “Macchine da gioco”, costituita fisicamente da un videogioco posto all'interno di un cabinato di grandi dimensioni operabile a monete o gettoni, che normalmente viene posto in postazioni pubbliche come sale giochi, bar, talvolta cinema e centri commerciali. L’Etimologia è incerta, probabilmente derivante da “Arcata” facente riferimento storicamente a lunghi viali sotto i portici dei borghi, dove si trovavano le botteghe e luoghi dediti al divertimento. -

THE TORCH Issue: Spring 2021 GFBNEC Seeks Letters From Nisei For Upcoming Media Project ne of GFBNEC’s newest projects, Letters to Home, is in partnership with David Ono, ABC7 News Anchor, documentarian and member of GFBNEC Board of Directors. Based on written material: letters, diaries and journals, Oboth to and from Nisei veterans during WWII, this project looks to understand the layers of complexity and emotions felt by the young Nisei who were serving, often in dire and unpredictable situations. Their correspondences to family and friends shed light on their fears, their hopes and their optimism in the face of daily uncertainty and in the fight against tyranny. The stories we collect will be the basis for a future full-length documentary. We need the help of families of Nisei veterans to fill in the gaps and encourage any and all submissions of letters, diaries and journals.
