A Growth Drive – by Archie-Fan A Growth Drive – by Archie-Fan Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge were enjoying a day of shopping at the mall. Betty enjoyed it more simply for the browsing and trying on outfits, while Veronica because of her family’s wealth purchased absolutely anything that she wanted. The two friends were making their way through the mall when they saw a small crowd gathered around a temporary kiosk. Curious the two friends made their way over. As they did they saw their friend Archie was one of the members of the crowd along with several other classmates. As they got closer they both saw Archie make his way out of the crowd. “Hey Archie-kins,” Veronica greeted him. “What’s going on here?” “It’s the Miss Mighty Riverdale junior bodybuilding contest sign-up,” Archie replied. “It’s for competitors under the age of twenty. I just signed up to be a judge.” “You’re into that sort of thing?” Betty asked surprised. “I’m into seeing any girl parade around in a bikini,” Archie replied. “Maybe you two should consider signing up for it.” “Don’t be silly Archie,” Veronica scoffed. “Why would we do something like that?” Just then a red-headed girl emerged from the crowd. Betty and Veronica both recognized her immediately as Cheryl Blossom. “It wouldn’t matter if you did because when I’m up there in a bikini all the boys will vote for me,” Cheryl stated confidently. “Isn’t that right Archie?” Archie nodded but then stopped when he saw the angry glares he was getting from both Betty and Veronica. “You know what I’m going to sign up and I’m going to beat you Cheryl,” Betty declared. “Not if I sign up and beat both of you,” Veronica stated. Cheryl just laughed. “Betty might be some competition since she’s an athlete,” Cheryl said. “But there’s no way you can beat me Veronica.” “We’ll see,” Veronica responded angrily. She and Betty forced their way through the crowd to sign up. The actual contest wasn’t for another two months which would give them plenty of time to prepare. “Cheryl’s going to be in for a big surprise,” Veronica said. “May the best girl win,” Betty said offering her hand. “Oh I’m going to beat you too Betty Cooper,” Veronica said not shaking Betty’s hand. “And when I win Archie will be all mine.” Betty just stared in disbelief as Veronica walked away. She then took a deep breath before heading home. She had a lot of work to do if she was going to win. Starting Stats Betty: Height: 5’6” Weight: 110 Breast Size: B-cup Veronica: Height: 5’6” Weight: 110 Breast Size: B-cup Cheryl: Height: 5’6” Weight: 110 Breast Size: B-cup Contest Rules So the rules are pretty standard for a growth drive. You donate money and get to assign points to height, muscle mass or breast size. But each contest has different values for points and ways you get to assign them and this is no different. So for every dollar that you donate you get 1 point that you can assign to any stat on any girl. Also for every ten dollars you donate you get a bonus that you can assign to one girl. The bonus isn’t any one thing because I’m going to creatively change what they are in the story. A bonus is worth 3 points to breast size, four points to muscle and 3 points to height. Also for every two dollars donated all of the girl get one point to all stats. (I don’t want some contest where one of them doesn’t grow at all) Value of the points: A point to height is worth approximately 1/6 of an inch or .42 cm (don’t want them getting too tall too quickly) A point to muscle is worth about 2.2 lbs of muscle or 1 kg A point to breast size is worth about 10cc of breast size (Cup size will be calculated from the other stats) To participate Fill out the form: http://goo.gl/forms/raAoeOjJpk Then donate via PayPal to [email protected] (do not email me here I won’t respond) If you are confused by the form please send me a note asking any questions as any incorrectly filled out forms I’ll just take the points and distribute them at random. The story will follow the girls’ growth as they prepare for the contest. I’ll be posting one a week, provided the minimum donations have been made. If they haven’t I’ll post a journal entry stating that. I’m only really planning on having 6 or 7 chapters. Proceeds of the growth drive will go first towards commissioning a line-up image of the girls for each chapter. And then towards commissioning artwork for my other stories. Also if you donate $20 or more I will put you on a mailing list and send you the high-res versions of those commissions. .

  • Riverdale Riverdale Is an American Teen Drama Television Series
Riverdale Riverdale is an American teen drama television series produced by Warner Bros. This series takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia. The broadcasting started in 2015. The main actors are Archie Andrews playing a character with the name as him, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, and Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones. The cast also features Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy and Casey Cott as Kevin Keller. I chose this serie because, two years ago when I was in Budapest for three months with my friends Solenn, she showed me the trailer, and it was very funny. The story was a amusing. It was also nice to watch as a and I have kept on watching it. In this series, there are a lot of seasons (4) with many episodes. The story can change very fast, but it talks about teenagers in the town of Riverdale. All the young people study in the city’s high school. The story starts with the death of Jason Blossom. After that, the city is haunted by a serial killer "the black hood" who is the father of a main character of the series. His teenage daughter Betty and her boyfriend Jug investigate and try to solve all the murders. Another character Archie is threatened by the father of his girlfriend : Veronica Lodge. A game that already existed when the parents of the teenagers were teenagers, reappears in the series. It is a dangerous game which leads to many deaths and murders. Betty and Jug keep on investigating until the end to find the culprits and are helped by their faithful friends.

  • Sardonic Humor Is My Way of Relating to the World__ Audience
1 Abstract: There is a lengthy history of teenagers on television, and of teenagers as a television viewing audience. Over the past decade, developments in how technology allows audiences to interact with television have affected both the structure and content of television that features and caters to teenagers. Using specific texts (most notably Gossip Girl (The CW, 2007-2012), Riverdale (The CW, 2017-), and Heathers (Paramount, 2017)) and the paratexts formed by audience members in their interaction online with the original texts and their creators, this thesis seeks to understand how teen television has adapted itself to fit the models created by the internet and its users and the nature of its potential repercussions for the genre and for television in general. 2 “Sardonic Humor is My Way of Relating to the World”: Audience Interaction With Teen Television, 2007 - Present Chloe Harkins Bachelor of Arts Thesis, Film Studies Program 3 Acknowledgements: I would like to first thank my thesis advisor, Robin Blaetz, whose infinite enthusiasm for and faith in this project, as well as her patience in approaching a subject out of her usual realm of study, truly was what kept it going. Thank you to the other two members of my thesis committee; Elizabeth Markovits, who has provided consistent support and massively assisted my growth throughout my four years at Mount Holyoke, and Amy Rodgers, who gave me one of my most rewarding experiences in a class during my last semester. Thank you to all my professors at Mount Holyoke, Hampshire, and Amherst, especially those in media studies who helped me build the understanding of television/the internet/“television and the internet” that became the basis for this work.

  • "Archie's Girls?" Betty, Veronica, and the Rise of American Youth Culture, 1941-1950
ABSTRACT "ARCHIE'S GIRLS?" BETTY, VERONICA, AND THE RISE OF AMERICAN YOUTH CULTURE, 1941-1950 by Caroline Elizabeth Johnson This thesis uses the characters of Betty and Veronica of the Archie Comic series to explore the roles of adolescent females during the 1940s in the United States. The author utilizes feminist and art theory as well as relevant literature to argue that the writers of Archie Comics reflect and reify teenage experience through the characters of Betty and Veronica. Themes addressed include labor roles, dating habits, as well as teen involvement in consumer culture. By addressing the role of adolescent experience, the author hopes to expand conversations regarding women during the 1940s to include the impact of youth culture. The author concludes by suggesting Betty and Veronica represent a larger trend in American society regarding the way in which young women are conditioned to think and act in a particular manner via popular culture.
