We started the project with a wonderful and much loved specialty - fried horse mackerel! :)

How to prepare fresh horse mackerel: 1. Clean and wash the horse mackerel. 2. Salt it. 3. Roll into flour and fry the fish in oil to gold. 4. Serve with salad of cabbage, carrots and parsley.

The next recipe we want to introduce to you in our newsletter is for KRUSHEN BULGUR Krushen Bulgur is a kind of dessert presented by Valkana Levterova from Kozichino village (Erkech), municipality

Products: - dried fruit (wild pears, apples, plums, dill) - water - Sugar to taste - Bulgur Method of preparation: Boil the dried fruit. Sweeten the compote with sugar to taste, then put 3 cups of water, 1 cup of bulgur and boil until cooked. This dessert was prepared for weddings, christenings, and other holidays in the village in the past and now. We express our gratitude to Valkana!

Our culinary contest came to an end! We began our journey to find interesting local recipes and people like you who love to cook and show the traditional Bulgarian cuisine. Winners are: 1. Mrs. Zhivka Simeonova from the town of - Strandzha Zelennik 2. Mrs. Rafaela Hristova from - Fried Black Sea horse mackerel 3. Mrs. Valkana Lefterova from Kozichino village - Krushen Bulgur 4. Mrs. Samira Dusheva from Bourgas - Mussels with Bourgas rice The awards will be given at the festival in Pomorie, which will take place on 7.10.2017 - Saturday. With first press conference in Pomorie we started the trainings under our project. Members of Tradesmen Chamber of Keshan Restaurants Cafes and Hotels led by President Hussein Chakmak, municipal councilors from the city of Keshan, professors from the Thracian University in , representatives of cultural information and tourist centers participated in the event. The Bulgarian side was presented by cultural institutions representatives, representatives of the municipal administration in Pomorie, employees of the Tourist information center and more. The event marked the beginning of the first of the two trainings planned for public authorities and local entrepreneurs to be held in the cities, covered by the project - the Bulgarian Pomorie and Turkish Keshan. The aim of the trainings is to identify the most attractive culinary routes between them and turn them into sustainable elements of the vision of the local authorities for the development of tourism in both regions. At the end of the discussions the culinary routes will include local, traditional cuisine, legends, local customs and traditions. The training in Pomorie lasted 3 days. From September 11 to September 13 the intangible cultural heritage was presented as an integral part of the successful tourist product in the regions. The representatives of the Pomorie and Keshan municipalities were presented with a profile of the tourist of the 21st century, as well as the latest trends in the market development of tourism products. By the end of the training on September 13, the culinary route was also prepared between the districts of Burgas and Odrin. The next activity was the coordination of tourism map of the routes. The lecturers of the training in Pomorie were Krasen Rusev and Bozhanka Dobreva-experts in the field of cultural tourism, with long experience in research and teaching tourism specialties.

The time has come to invite you to CULINARY FESTIVAL in Pomorie Date – 07.10.2017 We will start at 11 h in the alley in front of the Old Casino and we will continue up to 15 h. Organizers of the event are Association BIO NETWORK and Tradesmen Chamber of Keshan Restaurants Cafes and Hotels partners under “Culinary Neighborhood Network” project. At the festival you can taste local culinary specialties both from Bulgaria and Turkey.
