Studioalbum. Für mich zählt die TRACKLIST Band zu einem der absoluten Urgesteine klassischen Melodic Rocks und hat 01. Where Are You Eden? mich durch meine gesamte Zeit als Rock-Fan begleitet. 02. Not Forgiven der aktuellen Avantasia Scheibe begeistert, was meine Lust auf das neue 06. The Serpent Rings Werk noch steigerte. Konnte mich die neue Scheibe nun überzeugen und vor 07. House Of Kings allem; wird sie auch den Fans zusagen? 08. The Great Unknown 09. Man 10. The Last One On Earth Nun, mit dem vom Keyboard getriebenen AOR-Stampfer "Where Are You 11. Crimson On The White Sand Eden?" steigt die neue Scheibe schon mal direkt gut ein. Es ist alles da, griffige Gitarren, pompöse Keyboards, symphonisch anmutende Klänge und ein eingängiger Refrain. Tony Clarkin veredelt die Nummer mit einem schwebenden Solo und dem Hörer wird klar, das man es hier mit professionellster Rockmusik zu tun hat. Die Band ist einfach seit Jahrzehnten absolut perfekt eingespielt und, trotz der Neubesetzung am Bass, mit hörbar LINEUP funktionierender Chemie am Musizieren. Der Viersaiter ist mit Pink Cream 69 Bob Catley - Vocals Tony Clarkin - Guitars / Unisonic-Mann Dennis Ward aber auch vortrefflich besetzt worden. Rick Benton - Keyboards Dennis Ward - Bass Mit Stücken wie "Madman or Messiah" schaffen es die Mannen aus Lee Morris - Drums Birmingham dann sogar zu klingen, als höre man eine der ersten drei Scheiben der Band. Der Retro-Keyboardeinsatz zu rockigen Riffs, das leicht folkige und pompöse Flair und die melodischen Gesänge, alles ist dabei. Nicht zu vergessen Tony Clarkins auf den Punkt gespielte Soli, mit denen jeder Titel - mancher gar mehrmals - veredelt wird. Doch auch für INFORMATIONEN Abwechslung wird reichlich gesorgt. Autor: Slaine Fazit: Das neue Werk der Urgesteine Magnum konnte durch die Bank recht gut überzeugen und ist vor allem dank der Titel, die wirklich an die Ursprungstaten der Band erinnern wirklich allen Fans der Band wärmstens ans Herz zu legen. Rodney Matthews Rodney Matthews has been described by John Cleese as belonging “among the greatest artists that have ever lived”. His distinct style has won him a strong following, and he has illustrated Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll, Kenneth Grahame and other classic writers. As designer-illustrator he has created book and record album covers (for Magnum, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, Barclay James Harvest, Rick Wakeman and others). He has also created video games, and television series, such as Gerry Anderson’s production of Lavender Castle, and worked closely with fantasy author Michael Moorcock (Elric at the End of Time). The fantasy of whiteness refers to the habitually enacted and environmentally entrenched assumption that white people can and should superintend the cultural representation of Otherness. This argument is presented in three parts. Part One examines the complex ways in which white anxieties and concerns were expressed through discourses of blackness in nineteenth-century American blackface entertainment. Part Two examines the various transnational discursive connections enabled by American and Australian blackface entertainments in Australia during the nineteenth century. Part Three examines the legacy of nineteenth-century blackface entertainment in twentieth-century Australian culture. Overall, this dissertation investigates some of the fragmentary histories and stories about Otherness that coalesce within Australian culture. This examination suggests that representations of Aboriginality in Australian culture are influenced and manipulated by whiteness in ways that seek to entrench and protect white cultural authority. Even today, a phantasmal whiteness is often present within cultural representations of Aboriginality.

D'ici sa sortie officielle, nous aurons peut-être quelques informations, la maison de disques spv n'ayant pas joint de bio avec ces mp3 ! A la première écoute, j'avoue avoir été très dérouté... Je me suis demandé si le groupe n'était pas complètement passé à côté de son sujet ! Et puis, je me suis posé, j'ai pris le temps de me laisser envahir par ces subtiles mélodies et une émotion venue de loin, ressemblant au bonheur, a envahi tout mon être ! Oui, MAGNUM signe un chef d'oeuvre dont les racines et l'inspiration vont puiser dans le Rock-Hard voire Hard-Rock des années 70' tout en restant moderne avec une touche progressive délectable ! Les compositions sont particulièrement longues, une moyenne de 5,50 minutes et laissent tout le loisir aux musiciens d' exp(l)oser leur talent ! Je ne comprends pas cet album, je le vis comme un cadeau venu du ciel... Voilà, c'est un coup de coeur pour moi et je ne l'explique pas !
