Travel to The Hague, one of the most extraordinary cities in Holland with its monuments, historic districts and its location near the beautiful North Sea coastline. Visit Antwerp in Belgium and admire the Cathedral of Our Lady, a Belgium’s largest gothic church. Pass by Rubens House and learn about Pieter Paul Rubens, a renowned baroque artist, and enjoy a chocolate tasting. Upon arrival, proceed through customs and collect your luggage. Meet our assistant and driver and transfer to your hotel for check in. Attend a short Orientation and walk around hotel before dinner. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel or nearby with drinks. Overnight in Amsterdam. (D) Day 3: Full day tour of Amsterdam with focus on Rembrandt with entrance to Rembrandt house museum & RijksMuseum Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a full day tour of Amsterdam. In the morning, discover city highlights via a canal cruise. Appreciate Amsterdam's outdoor beauty with a 1-hour boat tour along the city's UNESCO-listed canals. Relax as you drift past picturesque canal houses, bridges, classic Dutch gables, churches, towers and other waterfront delights. Later we visit the Rembrandt house. Browse through an incredible collection of Rembrandt’s works as you explore the beautifully restored rooms of the house. Continue to a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the RijksMuseum, a Dutch national museum dedicated to the arts and history of the Netherlands. Head straight inside the recently renovated museum, with a collection of one million items, with 8,000 on display in 80 galleries. Admire and learn from our guide about masterpieces such as Vermeer’s Milkmaid and Rembrandt’s Night Watch. Return to the hotel. Evening on your own. Overnight in Amsterdam. (B, L) Day 4 : Full day tour of the Teylers Museum and Ann Frank house Breakfast at the hotel and departure with our guide for Haarlem to visit the Teylers Museum and its painting collection as well as the library. Return to Amsterdam and enjoy some free time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, discover Ann Frank’s House. The bestselling book “Anne Frank: Diary of a Young Girl” brought to life, through one of the greatest horrors of the 20th century in a compelling, personal way. In the true story, a young Jewish girl, her family, and some friends are forced into hiding in Amsterdam to escape the Nazis during World War II. The house that served as the Frank family’s hiding place for two years survived the war and is now a moving museum, with the primary site being the achterhuis (rear house), also known as the secret annex. Here the Franks sat in silence during the day and ate food that was secretly brought to them before being mysteriously betrayed and sent to Nazi concentration camps. Return to the hotel by coach. Evening on your own. Overnight in Amsterdam. (B) Day 5: Full day trip to Antwerp, Belgium Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Antwerp! Belgium has something of interest for every visitor, be it beer, chocolate, diamonds or art. Travel with our guide to a diamond factory in Antwerp, where you’ll learn about the city’s diamond heritage. Then, during a walking tour, discover architectural wonders in the small city of Antwerp. Check out Market Square and admire the Cathedral of Our Lady, a Belgium’s largest gothic church. Pass by Rubens House and learn about renowned baroque artist Pieter Paul Rubens. Enter a Chocolate shop for a short presentation and tasting to complete this morning walking tour. Free time for lunch and afternoon at leisure in Antwerp to shop or discover Rubens House and Gardens. Return to Amsterdam and evening on your own. Overnight in Amsterdam. (B) Day 6: Full Day Trip to Delft and The Hague Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure to Delft, home of Vermeer. On arrival, watch how Holland’s iconic blue-and-white Delft pottery is produced in a factory. Then, explore the historic city center with your guide, and meander past landmarks such as the Oostpoort (Eastern Gate), Waag (Weigh House), Oude Kerk (Old Church) and Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). Continue on with the discovery of Vermeer, based on our introduction at the Rijksmuseum. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we drive to The Hague, considered the world’s judicial capital. Follow your guide on a walking tour of the former Netherlands capital, starting with the Binnenhof, the seat of the Dutch Parliament, whose sights include Noordeinde Palace and the Parliament buildings. See the Peace Palace, which houses the International Court of Justice and as used by the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the United Nations. Continue to visit the Mauritshuis museum, home to the best Dutch paintings from the Golden Age. The compact, yet world-renowned collection is situated in the heart of The Hague. Masterpieces such as Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt, the Goldfinch by Fabritius and The Bull by Potter are on permanent display in the intimate museum rooms of this seventeenth-century monument. Return to Amsterdam. Overnight in Amsterdam (B) Day 7: Van Gogh Museum Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, proceed to the Van Gogh Museum with our guide who will provide fascinating background on the artist’s life. You’ll see the work of those who inspired Van Gogh throughout various displays of art by other 19th-century painters. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore more of the museum that houses the world’s largest collection of works by Van Gogh, with more than 200 paintings as well as numerous drawings and letters. Return to the hotel with the guide or spend the rest of the day in Amsterdam on your own. In the evening, farewell dinner with drinks nearby the hotel with our assistant.
