For Immediate Release: Nadine Woodward joins the KXLY Broadcast Group. The KXLY Broadcast Group is pleased to announce that Nadine Woodward has joined the staff as a news anchor for both TV and radio. Woodward, formerly of KREM-TV, is one of Spokane’s most respected and favorite news personalities. "I am very thankful and excited about the opportunity KXLY has given me to return to work and do what I love most," Woodward said. Woodward will begin co-hosting the KXLY 920 AM morning news program on Monday, March 15. She will join Bud Nameck from 7 am to 9 am on weekday mornings. In late April, Woodward will begin co-anchoring Good Morning Northwest HD with Mike Gonzalez from 6 am to 7 am on KXLY ABC 4 HD. Kalae Chock will continue to co-anchor Good Morning Northwest HD with Mike Gonzalez from 5am to 6am and will handle reporter duties during the 6am hour of the program. Steve Herling, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the KXLY Broadcast Group, is excited by the move. He said, “I have had great respect for Nadine's talent, integrity and ability to connect with an audience for the entire 20 years she has been on the air. She and I came very close to having her come to KXLY-TV about 6 years ago but it didn't come together. Now I am delighted that she is joining our team of experienced professionals on both our radio and television stations. She and Bud Nameck on KXLY 920 AM, join our other star morning radio shows, Dave, Ken and Molly on 92.9 ZZU, Jay and Kevin on The Big 99.9 Coyote Country and GA (Gary Allen) on Rock 94.5. There has never been so much talent in one radio group in the history of the market." Woodward added, “I am honored that viewers have been so gracious about my return. And now that I’m doing mornings, it will feel really good waking up with them, instead of putting them to sleep.” Woodward will also be involved in a number of other station-related projects and productions.
