Here is a Bara Brith type recipe that is so simple to make and it's so much my type of cake that I don't think I'll bother buying one again. (And the quantities to use are in 'old money'!!) "CUP OF TEA CAKE" Ingredients 8oz mixed fruit Half a pint of cooled strong tea Handful of dried mixed peel 8oz self-raising flour # 4oz granulated sugar 1 small egg # Tesco only had wholemeal SR flour (not to be confused with self-isolating flour - spell checker problem there! which of course means "No Flour At All!”) but the wholemeal only enhanced the taste and made it quite rustic. In a large bowl mix together the mixed fruit, mixed peel and sugar. Pour over the tea, cover and leave overnight to soak in the fridge. Next day preheat oven to 160°C/145°C fan/Gas Mark 4. Stir the mixture thoroughly before adding the flour a bit at a time, then mix in the beaten egg and stir well. Grease a 2lb/7" loaf tin and pour in the mixture.

  • DOORS INVITE UKRAINE and RUSSIA to the PEACE TABLE
DOORS INVITE UKRAINE and RUSSIA TO THE PEACE TABLE Dear President Volodymyr ZELENSKY As humans, our biggest mistake is not to check and look for third parties before wars. Almost every war on our planet throughout history has been scripted by an invisible enemy. Humans have been victims and losers of all their wars with each other. The war machine is a very powerful money machine for the third party. Our states, governments and peoples are ruled by beings who live in the human body but are not human. Most of our closest friends working in the government are not human beings, but biological robots that work for the Vatican in the human body. Money is a universal value. Humans are traded in the sheep and cattle class on our planet Earth. Battlefields are marketplaces where Satan can make money. This is a very brief summary of why Ukraine and Russia are on the brink of a major war in 2021. According to the New World Order, a Third World War like the First World War and the Second World War must be started and ended. Our planet is ruled by Nazis, especially controlled and directed by the black-robed Vatican Rabbis. The Vatican always has at least 200,000 Nazis available in each country. (For a population of 50 million) Adolf Hitler(s) and his mentality did not die. Like many armies in the world Ukraine Army is a Nazi controlled and owned army. People should know that war is our worst enemy. The first person to say "Yes" to a possible war between humans is the first to lose.

Obviously, these items would be a good gift idea for any occasion year-round, as well as a gift for yourself! We do not include many, if any at all, single CDs in the guide. Most everything contained will be multiple CD sets, DVDs, CD/DVD sets, books and the like. Of course, you can always look though our back issues to see what came out in 2017 (and prior years), but none of us would want to attempt to decide which CDs would be a fitting ad- dition to this guide. As with 2016, the year 2017 was a bit on the lean side as far as reviews go of box sets, books and DVDs - it appears tht the days of mass quantities of boxed sets are over - but we do have some to check out. These are in no particular order in terms of importance or release dates.

  • Horse with No Name” Paul Zollo - the Origins of the Iconic, Enigmatic Anthem, in His Own Words It’S One of the Most Famously Mysterious Songs Ever to Become a Hit
APRIL 3, 2020 Link to article: https://americansongwriter.com/behind-the-song-horse-with-no-name/ Behind The Song: America, “Horse With No Name” Paul Zollo - The Origins of the Iconic, Enigmatic Anthem, In His Own Words It’s one of the most famously mysterious songs ever to become a hit. It’s got enigma baked into it, which may be part of its lasting magic. Like Lennon’s “Norwegian Wood,” and other great though cryptic songs, it doesn’t fill in the entire picture, leaving it instead up to the listener to do that on their own. All of its components enhance this dynamic of hypnotic mystery. There’s the swampy/mystic tone of the track, ethereal yet visceral, just acoustic guitars, bass and conga with no drums. The vocal is delivered as if from a storyteller spinning an ancient mythic tale, not performing as much as testifying, and in language that resounds like coded poetry. We’re in motion the entire time, days are passing, and the heat is relentless. Elemental symbols are everywhere like images from a perplexingly real dream – a dry riverbed, appointed with plants and birds and rocks and things, and incessant sound. And, of course, there’s that mysterious horse, the one with no name, which did forever force the question: Why? Why didn’t anyone name this horse? In search of answers, we turned to the songwriting source himself, Dewey Bunnell, who spoke to us on the phone last week, the final week of March, 2020, at the start of the mandatory stay-at-home orders in California.
