As we pass by Embry-Riddle's entrance sign, we go into a world of Aviation. Amid our busy schedule here, we even find time to enjoy food provided by Epicure, as you can see, we just can't wait. Then, as we leave for the day, we can take the bike path via a scenic route. iiii 4 Our flag flies high, while the palm trees stand tall and pretty, portraying a picture of serenity; however . It's off to classes and studying - 5 - ST ARTJNG A DAY The students wake up to a new beautiful day for studies. Some students are drowsy and tired from the night before. As the day continues, students get more involved with their studies. :~x \. .. iiii 6 The Engineering Building - In here students develop their drawing skill, the aerodynamics of the aircraft, and prove that the aircraft can fly. The Flight Line - Students plan their trips into the air with flight briefings, weather information and coordination with flight schedule, to make each flight a safe one. • 7 I No time to smile for me. To see them all at Embry-Riddle says Chris Halliday - - 9 - Mary walks to class with a friend while Susan returns home from a tension-filled day, probably a test, to get away from it all. Epicure Food Services offers students a variety of choices for every meal. •- 10 Checking in for an aircraft assignment is a part of the dai ly routine for students like Chris enrolled in a flight course. Checking the flight schedule can be both depressing and rewarding; depressing if a student is not assigned to a flight the following day, rewarding if the student is going to fly. Simulator training is an important part of many flight courses and gives the student valuable experience before he or she flies in the aircraft. - 11 - E-RAU students need to carefully check all parts of the aircraft during preflight, here one co-ed inspects the rudder, prior to take-off. Embry-Rid I \ Aeronautical Un1verstt This is too good a day to go inside for classes, but time and grades waits for no one. Computer technology is an essential part of a computer science student's day-to-day class work, but homework means pro blem solving and using a good eraser. - 12 As the sun goes down in Daytona Beach, it marks the end of another great day. Some students go out and roam the bars and yet many others retire to their dorms to study. 13 - • • .I • t ,,,.,.,,,( . I .. ' \ lQ 'f * I • • ~• ~- ~.I.,.,.. I .. ,,, ·· .
