Musical Training Initial music training obtained in High School with Mrs. Rao.

Learnt Carnatic classical music from Smt. Vijayalakshmi Iyer (Mother).

Learnt Hindustani Classical for 3 years under the tutelage of PT. Gautam Madhusudan from (Gwalior Gharana) and thereafter for 2 years under the guidance of Pt. Ratan Mohan Sharma - disciple of Pt. Jasraj – (Mewati Gharana).

Music Awards Won several music competitions at national level in India.

Awarded best female singer in “Swarranjali” – a classical concert “Malhar”.

Favourite Music Styles Hindustani Classical, Ghazals, Folk, Devotional Songs, Sugam Sangeet, Marathi Bhav Geet and Bollywood Music.

Musical Experience A studio recording artist in India and Canada, sung in short films, jingles and product commercials, provided voice overs in regional languages.

Released several private albums in Hindi and regional albums in Malayalam & Tamil.

Judged several music competitions in India and Canada – also judged “Thithikude” – Tamil equivalent of SA RE GA MA hosted by CMR and TVI.

Interviewed by popular radio stations all over Canada, India and the Caribbean.

Performed with many celebrity singers in India, Canada, USA and other countries.

b) Sung at various charity events i.e. Breast Cancer Society Foundation (Canada), Vidyadhanam (India), Heart and Stroke Foundation (Canada) and Smt. Amrutanandamyi Amma Foundation (Canada).

Stage Shows Lead Singer for many locally produced stage shows. I.e. “Bollywood Beats”, “Luminato”, “South Asian Music Fest”, “Bobby’s Naya Afsana”, “Shyam-E-Ghazal” and an evening of pure Classical music with “Raagmala”, to name a few.
