From: Andrew Bruce Sent: 19 January 2018 17:34 To: McNairney J (John) Subject: BTR Dinner - Follow Up

John

Many thanks for your participation in the BTR dinner on Tuesday night. I wanted to follow up on a few points from the dinner:

1. With regard to the action you took away on organising a meeting with key local authority planning officials on Build to Rent, SFT is very happy to support you in this. I floated the idea with you of inviting a planning official from a local authority in England that has handled several BTR planning applications. I have already made an enquiry as to who a suitable individual would be (without committing you to their involvement, if on reflection you wish to take a different approach.)

2. With regard to bringing more resource to key planning applications, clearly legislation allowing authorities to vary planning fees will take some time. However it might be worth discussing with you whether there is anything we can do to assist and in their planning process for the live Moda Apache applications.

Have a good weekend. Perhaps we can have a chat next week on these points.

Regards

Andrew
