How to update your SRM USB PCV Driver

Install new driver

1. Start the USBDriverPCV.exe file

- Follow the instructions on the screen

2. Open Device Manager

To access Device Manager, use any of the following methods: WinXP: • Click on the Start button, click Run, and then type devmgmt.msc. • Click the Start button, click Control Panel, click System, click Hardware, and then click Device Manager. • Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager. • Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. • Type the following command at a command prompt: start devmgmt.msc

Vista: • Click the Start button , and type devmgmt.msc into the search box • Click the Start button , click Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. • Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager. • Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. • Type the following command at a command prompt: start devmgmt.msc

3. Right click on Prolific USB to Serial Comm Port and click on Properties

4.Check if the latest Driver Version is installed WinXP: Driver Version: 2.0.5.111

Vista: Diver Version: 3.3.3.114

If the driver is not updated automatically click on Update Driver and select automatic.
