MP401 DANGEROUS GOODS SAFETY (ROAD AND RAIL TRANSPORT OF NON-EXPLOSIVES) REGULATIONS 2007 DANGEROUS GOODS SAFETY (ROAD AND RAIL TRANSPORT OF NON-EXPLOSIVES) DETERMINATION (NO. 2) 2020 This determination is made by the Chief Dangerous Goods Officer under Regulation 19 of the Dangerous Goods Safety (Road and Rail Transport of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007. This determination amends and replaces determination (No. 1) 2008 on the restriction on the transport of a placard load in the Graham Farmer Tunnel that was gazetted on 22 August 2008. 1. Citation This determination may be cited as Dangerous Goods Safety (Road and Rail Transport of Non-explosives) Determination (No. 2) 2020. 2. Restrictions on transporting certain loads in the Tunnel (1) In this determination— “placarded vehicle” means a road vehicle that is marked, or required to be marked, pursuant to Regulations 110 and 111 of the Dangerous Goods Safety (Road and Rail Transport of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007. (2) A person must not drive a placarded vehicle in the tunnel on the Graham Farmer Freeway unless all the following conditions are met— (a) written permission has been obtained from the Director General of Main Roads Western Australia; and (b) the tunnel is closed for maintenance and closed to general traffic; and (c) the placarded vehicle is associated with the maintenance activities in the tunnel; and (d) the placarded vehicle is not left unattended in the tunnel; and (e) the placarded vehicle is not filled in the tunnel. (3) A prime contractor transporting dangerous goods in a placarded vehicle must instruct the driver of it to comply with subsection (2) of this determination. RX401 ROTTNEST ISLAND REGULATIONS 1988 TEMPORARY NOTICE TO MARINERS Closure of Waters to Boating Thomson Bay, Rottnest Island Rottnest Channel Swim Saturday 22nd February 2019 Acting pursuant to the powers conferred by Regulation 38B of the Rottnest Island Regulations 1988, the Rottnest Island Authority hereby closes the following waters to all vessels, excluding bona fide emergency and authorised vessels as set out below between 1200hrs on Friday 21 February 2020 to 1800hrs on Saturday 22 February 2020. Thomson Bay Between Ferry Jetty and Fuel Jetty All waters with 25 metres of the shoreline. Authorised Vessel: Powered support vessel displaying a 2020 Rottnest Channel Swim sticker. Between Fuel Jetty and Hotel Jetty Swim Channel All waters to a point 38 metres on the southern side of the Fuel Jetty extending in an easterly direction encompassing the following moorings— Ranger; Ranger II; TB062; TB072; RIA015 Hire; TB078; RIA016 Hire; TB056; TB100; TB319; TB053; RIA005 Hire; TB051; TB081; RIA017 Hire; TB357; TB200; South Cardinal Marker (115° 32.836′E 31° 59.79′S); TB091; RIA028 Hire; RIA009 Hire; TB077; TB322; TB058; TB060. South of Swim Channel All waters starting 38 metres south of the Fuel Jetty extending 110 metres in a southerly direction following the foreshore and 25 metres east. Authorised Vessel: bona fide emergency vessels. North of Hotel Jetty All waters north of the Hotel Jetty extending 51 metres in a northerly direction and 25 metres east. Authorised Vessel: bona fide emergency vessels and competitor’s support paddle craft displaying a 2020 Rottnest Channel Swim sticker. South of Hotel Jetty All waters south of the Hotel Jetty extending 51 metres following the foreshore in a southerly direction and 25 metres east. Authorised Vessel: bona fide emergency vessels and tenders <3.75 metres in length. These restriction have been put in place due to the unusually large number of vessels and people entering the Reserve and the need achieve public safety. Appropriate signage will be placed on site and a map showing these restrictions is available for viewing at http://www.rottnestisland.com Mariners are further advised that due to the close proximity of the swim channel to fuel dispensing facilities, supplies will not be available between 10.00am to 6.00pm on Saturday 22 February 2020. Thomson Bay (North) Between Ferry Jetty and Stark Jetty All waters between the Stark Jetty and Ferry Jetty extending eastwards from the foreshore following a line along the southern side of Stark Jetty to a position 115° 32.509E and 31° 59.678S, then head south to a position 115° 32.526E and 31° 59.705S finishing at a point on the Ferry Jetty at 115° 32.528E and 31° 59.710S. Exemption Authorised support craft and bona fide emergency response vessels These restrictions have been put in place to ensure safety of swimmers competing in the Swimming Champs of the Bay. Event safety craft will be patrolling the area to guide passing vessels. A map showing this restriction is available at http://www.rottnestisland.com Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and maintain a safe clearance when transiting this area. TR401 STATE SUPERANNUATION REGULATIONS 2001 DECLARATION UNDER REGULATION 12D For the purposes of Item 14 of the Table to Regulation 12D of the State Superannuation Regulations 2001, I declare the following amount to be an item in respect of which a contribution is required— - An amount in respect of a Period of Unpaid Parental Leave calculated as the amount of salary or wages that a worker who has taken a Period of Unpaid Parental Leave would have been paid had the worker taken paid parental leave for that period. In this declaration— - Unpaid Parental Leave means leave which is dependent upon the pregnancy of the worker or the birth or adoption of a child of the worker or the worker’s partner to which the worker was entitled under a provision of an Industrial Instrument and for the duration of which the worker is not entitled to be paid. - Period of Unpaid Parental Leave is the lesser of— (a) the Period of Unpaid Parental Leave taken by the worker; or (b) the period specified in the Industrial Instrument as the Period of Unpaid Parental Leave in respect of which superannuation contributions are required to be paid. - Industrial Instrument means an industrial award or agreement to which the Employer of the worker is a respondent.
