Auch wenn der 2:1-Sieg verdient war – es war ein sehr schwieriges Spiel gegen einen leidenschaftlich auftretenden Gegner. Bei der Niederlage am vergangenen Samstag in Warschau gegen Polen war das genauso. Ähnlicher Widerstand wird, da bin ich mir sicher, heute auch von den Iren zu erwarten sein. Eine weitere Parallele zum Schottland-Spiel wird in der leidenschaftlichen Unterstützung der Iren durch ihre Fans jetzt auch in Gelsenkirchen deutlich werden.
