Since his competitive debut in karting just five short years ago, Andrew has risen up the ranks into high profile saloon car racing in double-quick time.

Starting racing relatively late in comparison to 99.9 per cent of drivers, Andrew entered his first karting event at the age of 16 and instantly proved his natural flair and ability on track by challenging for honours almost immediately.

Stepping up to senior level competition in 2005, he finished an impressive third overall in the Irish Rotax Max Karting Championship with just five points splitting the top three in the standings. He then won his first title with victory in the Athboy Club Karting Championship.

Moving to European level action the following year, Andrew produced another superb display which completely belied his minimal experience.

After a mere three years in karting, Andrew made the move into car racing in 2007 after signing with the JHR Developments squad to compete in the ultra- competitive ELF Renault Clio Cup one-make saloon car championship.

Proving his ability beyond any shadow of a doubt, Andrew’s debut got off to a terrific start as he enjoyed a top 10 performance on his debut at .

From there, he went on to become a podium finisher in his first season and then claimed his maiden race win in the 2007 Winter Championship, which he also concluded as Vice-Champion.

Moving into more powerful machinery for his second season of car racing in 2008, Andrew stepped up to the SEAT Cupra Championship with a JHR-run 300bhp turbo-charged Leon Cupra. He became a regular front-runner among a whole host of highly experienced racers, taking a total of five podiums.

Having achieved a huge amount already in his short racing career, the 20-year- old is now ready for yet more success in 2009…whichever championship he is able to secure the budget for.
