Mizzou Men’s Basketball players Kassius Robertson, Jontay Porter and Jeremiah Tilmon were awarded All-SEC honors for the 2017-18 season.

Robertson, who led the Tigers’ offensive attack averaging 16.3 points per game and shooting more than 43 percent from three- point land, earned himself a spot on the All- SEC First Team.

The sharpshooter led the Tigers in 20-point efforts in 11 total games with eight of those coming in conference play. Robertson was also a reliable free-throw shooter for the Tigers all year finishing at 79.9 percent from the charity stripe.

Freshman forward Jontay Porter was named to All-SEC Freshman Team, in addition, to being awarded the SEC Co-Sixth Man of the Year with Tennessee’s Lamonte Turner.

Porter’s play on the road at Vanderbilt (24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists) and on Senior Night versus Arkansas (19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists) garnered him SEC- Freshman of the Week recognition. His effort against the Commodores was the first time a Tiger freshman put up a 20-5-5 performance since Keyon Dooling achieved the feat during the 1998-’99 campaign.

Porter’s partner down on the low , fellow freshman forward Jeremiah Tilmon, was awarded to the SEC Community Service Team.

Tilmon made a concerted effort, throughout the season, to inject his energy and passion into the Columbia community with his work at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbia as well as numerous visits to patients at the MU Children’s Hospital. FOLLOW THE COACHES AND FOLLOW
