They played a cracking Feature Night early in 2018 – time we gave them a full guest night. Some of the band put in a great couple of spots one singers night in 2018 so we’ve invited them back for more Feb 11th Singers £1 Feb 18th Guest Night Hicks & Goulbourn + support £6 Steve & Lynn are a well know act on the UK Folk and Acoustic scene and have also performed in Germany, USA and more recently in Holland. He has been playing and performing for more years than he cares to remember and is currently in great demand as caller and singer with Jigabit Ceilidh Band. Al Harris Bass guitar & vocals. Al has been playing since the late 60s and his early performances were at Worksop Folk Club which was quote “a centre of tolerance”. Part of Six Hands in Tempo- a band with a wide repertoire ranging from 30s & 40s music to themes from Western & Sci Fi TV programmes - he toured extensively all over the UK, Europe & Canada. Al’s transition to Bass came when he joined Ken Etch Jazzmen in Nottingham He has played on albums with Tufty Swift, the Excelsior Band (with John Tams) and Judy Dunlop. He’s also played for Umps & Dumps with John Kirkpatrick, Sue Harris, Tufty Swift and Derek Pearce, and for ceilidhs around East Midlands with Five Go Off and Dance Cupola. He is currently a member of Jigabit Jim Walker is a fine fiddle player with an excellent pedigree. A sudden “ open mic” appearance at the Hat & Feather pub in Bath turned his attention away from orchestral playing to alternative and varied traditional styles including Gamelan playing in Malaysia, African Kora music as well as Jazz and Balkan sets at Glastonbury. A popular fiddle player at Ceilidhs, we’re pleased to welcome him back to Mansfield .
