However, a significant number of photographs have been found, clearly indicating that Salvador Dalí Domènech’s family was one that enjoyed having its picture taken frequently. These include both professional portraits taken in studios such as Carreras or Bosch in Figueres and the Fotografía Hispania studio in Barcelona, but also numerous photos taken by family friends, a less common occurrence at the time. Up until a few years ago, there was a small shed and storeroom in the Pitxot family home in Figueres on Muralla Street. This shed was found to be full of boxes of printed glass photographic plates that someone in the family had used. Salvador and his sister, Anna Maria, had their pictures taken in that same garden at different times when they were young. Another family photographer was Joan Xirau, Salvador’s classmate at Ramon Muntaner High School and with whom he and other students founded the magazine, Studium, in 1919. Joan took excellent pictures of both Anna Maria and Salvador in the artist’s first studio found on the terrace of the family home on Plaza de la Palmera. Stemming from our wish to recreate a family photo album of the Dalí-Domènech family during Salvador Dalí’s first twenty years, the Toy Museum of Catalonia in Figueres (MJC/F) has consulted thirteen different archives, some of which are directly related to the family: Eulàlia Bas Dalí’s archive, and those belonging to Emília Pomés (Anna Maria Dalí’s archive), Felip Domènech and Joan Lleonart Bonet Domènech.

Amadeu Sudrià, 3 17753 Espolla T. 972 545 079 F. 972 545 139 EL PARAJE NATURAL DE INTERÉS NACIONAL La Sierra de la Albera es el nombre que recibe el tramo oriental del Pirineo, desde el Coll del Pertús hasta el mar. Separa las llanuras del Empordà y del Rosellón y desde 1659, por el tratado de los Pirineos, su línea de cresta constituye la frontera franco-española. La cima más destacada es el Puig Nuelós, de 1.257 metros de altura. La Albera está constituida por dos sectores bien diferenciados: el occidental, de Requesens-Baussitges, y el oriental, de Sant Quirze de Colera, separados por la zona del Coll de Banyuls. Constituye una unidad ecológica y paisajística de gran calidad donde puede observarse la transición entre las especies propias de la cordillera pirenaica y las más típicamente mediterráneas; todo ello se encuentra en el marco de una zona dominada por las rocas metamórficas del Pirineo: esquistos y pizarras. Este sector pirenaico fue declarado Paraje Natural de Interés Nacional en el año 1986 y cuenta con una superficie de 4.207 ha. Posteriormente a su declaración, se establece la creación de dos reservas naturales parciales en el seno del Paraje Natural. Éstas son la Reserva Natural Parcial de la cabecera del río Orlina, de 384 ha, creada con la finalidad de preservar la flora, especialmente el hayedo, y la Reserva Natural Parcial del Valle de Sant Quirze, de 585 ha, para la protección de la tortuga mediterránea.

En un edifici que constitueix el centre de la configuració espacial que es crea al seu voltant i que està constituïda pels espais lliures, les construccions auxiliars, la vegetació, els camins d’accés o la situació topogràfica. La transformació del territori, per processos de creixement de les ciutats, d’implantació de noves àrees industrials o d’infraestructures, produeix canvis en els patterns territorials i afecta els masos que es troben en aquests entorns transformats. En aquestes situacions, la lògica de la ciutat, de la zona industrial o de la infraestructura s’imposa a la lògica del mas i el seu territori, convertit en l’element feble, malgrat l’interès patrimonial que pugui tenir. En aquesta comunicació es vol analitzar quines respostes urbanístiques s’han donat a aquest conflicte, mirant de descobrir quines són millors o pitjors i d’aportar alternatives que permetin preservar el patrimoni i el seu significat. Per això s’analitzaran alguns casos representatius de les comarques gironines –els que l’autora coneix més bé-. Què ha passat amb els masos propers a les principals ciutats quan el creixement urbà els ha absorbit? Com han afectat els masos les noves zones industrials i les noves infraestructures?
