Aryabhatta College (University of Delhi) Aryabhatta College (University of Delhi) Webinar Report “Applications of SPSS in Conducting Research” Organized by IQAC Committee (June 7th, 2020) IQAC Committee, Aryabhatta College conducted a Webinar on “Applications of SPSS in Conducting Research” on June 7, 2020 in collaboration with IBS. The resource person for the session was Dr. Devika Vashisht, faculty member from Department of Marketing,IBS, Gurgaon. Participants from all over India across 100 institutions attended the webinar viz. IIM Lucknow, IIT Delhi, DTU, FMS, Tata Institute of Social sciences (Mumbai), Govt. Degree college Sopore (J&K), St. Xavier’s College, Amity University, Ch. Charan Singh University (Meerut), SRM Institute Of Science & Technology, Modinagar, Acharya Bangalore B School (ABBS, Bengaluru), National PG College (Lucknow), Sharda University, Centre for European and Latin American Studies (Jamia Millia Islamia), IGNOU, Vaish College of Engineering (Rohtak), Jaipuria Institute of Management (Indrapuram), JNU, SRCC, Hindu College, Maitreyi college, CVS, PGDAV college, Rajdhani college, SLC, Ramanujan College, Lakshmibai College, SPM, Motilal Nehru College, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar College and many more. The programme commenced with introductory remarks from Dr. J.K.Singh, Convenor, IQAC Committee of our college. He elaborated the theme of webinar and its significance in the present environment besides highlighting the demography of participants of the webinar. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Manoj Sinha, Principal of our college. He addressed the participants and described the institutional role in convening such programmes on regular basis for the academic enrichment of faculty members and research scholars. Dr. Aanchal Gupta, member of the organizing team and faculty member from Commerce Department of college introduced the resource person, Dr. Devika Vashisht. The resource person discussed the fundamentals of research and covered may important topics of research tools and techniques with the help of examples. Both the theoretical and practical statistical applications of SPSS were discussed. The participants were given opportunity to clarify their doubts during the last 30 minutes allocated for Question Answer session. The resource person responded the queries upto the satisfaction of the participants. The concluding remarks and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. J K Singh. Feedback, using Google form, was also sought immediately after the event. The analysis of the responses received from the participants revealed - 88% participants rated the event in higher category in the overall rating , 94% expressed satisfaction and 95% expressed willingness to attend such programmes in future. The convener at the end expressed gratitude to all the members of the IQAC Committee and members of the organizing team for this programme. The cooperation extended by Mr.Sanket Shekhar ( Assistant Professor, BMS Dept), Dr. Aanchal Gupta and Mr. Pardeep Singh (Assistant Professor in Commerce Department) was also acknowledged alongwith the team members of collaborators. Overall, the webinar got over whelming response. E-certificates were also mail to the participants who attended the program and responded the feedback form. .
