Basics of Tasting: Deductive Tasting Method • Use the FWE Wheel to assist you in recognizing and identifying specific aromas • Blind tasting of 3 white wines and 3 red wines, in which you'll learn to use the Deductive Tasting Method to apply aroma descriptors and variety markers to identify the variety of wine, the general area the wine is from, and the age of the wine.

Food and Wine in Balance • This seminar is a tasting of 4 - 5 wines representing the Progressive Wine List (categories of wines by their taste profile) with examples of foods that represent our basic tastes (and introduces people to the 5th taste, Umami). • This will demonstrate how food changes the way wine tastes and then how to apply this knowledge in pairing food to wine. This is then applied to complete dishes on the Progressive Food Menu.

Manager Essentials Purpose: Increase manager’s knowledge of Foster’s people policies and processes. Audience: All people managers new to Foster’s or newly promoted to people manager. Managers are automatically enrolled in the course in their first 30 days. Length: 4 hours, each module is 4 hours.

This is a self-paced, online training for newly promoted people managers and/or people managers new to Foster’s, all bands. People managers are expected to complete all 4 modules in their first 90 days as a people manager. Each module is 1-hour. • Module 1: Recruitment and Selection • Module 2: Performance, Development, & Talent Management • Module 3: Employee Relations • Module 4: Total Rewards

Manage2Win Purpose: Build fundamental skills of people managers to get the best performance from their team and deliver business results. Audience: People manager’s band 4- 6, who've completed part or all of the online Manager Essentials modules, or individual contributors who’ll soon be people managers. Length: 3.5 hours per class, monthly, rotating basis. The entire program can be done in 3 months. Lead2Win Purpose: Build strategic thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills of experienced leaders and build our bench strength of experienced leaders Audience: Experienced managers band 5 – 7, 4+ year’s experience, who are selected to attend. Length: 2-days, bi-annually. Real life business scenarios used to practically apply the curriculum and learn from others. Each participant is expected to complete a 100-day on-the-job project. 360-degree Feedback Purpose: Receive confidential, anonymous feedback from the people who work around you. This typically includes your co-workers, boss, cross-functional stakeholders, and direct reports if you’re a people manager. People fill out an anonymous online feedback form that asks questions covering a broad range of workplace competencies. The person receiving feedback also fills out a self-rating survey that includes the same survey questions that others receive in their forms. Audience: Managers, Directors, VPs, and individual contributors Length: Two weeks to gather feedback and another week for the leader to get debriefed on their feedback results. Cost: $310 per person version, charged to your business unit, using a 3rd party vendor. There is free-version which uses a simple Excel file or Surveymonkey.

Leadership Profile Do-It-Yourself (DIY) These are documents that contain quick tips, articles, books, and websites.
