35TH INTERNATIONAL GALA 2007

The 35th International Emmy Awards took place at a star-studded Gala in 's Hilton Hotel on November 19, 2007. Hosted by award-winning stage and screen actor, Roger Bart, International Emmy Awards were presented in eleven program categories as well as two special Awards. The International Emmy Founders Award was presented by Robert De Niro to former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore for his role in launching cable/satellite channel Current TV and his ongoing effort to alert the world to one of the great challenges of our time, global warming. The International Emmy Directorate Award was presented by actress, Carole Bouquet to Patrick Le Lay, Chairman and CEO of France’s TF1 Group for guiding the growth of the TF1 brand from a traditional commercial television broadcaster to a multi-media organization that is a pioneer in many of the emerging new digital platforms.

A cast of international stars including Robert De Niro, Kristen Bell, , Rob Morrow, Alan Cumming, , Eric Bogosian and presented the International Emmy® statue to the winners in front of an international audience of over 1,000 entertainment and media executives. Over 200 journalists and photographers representing the world’s leading media outlets covered the Awards.

The International Emmy Awards Gala is the world’s most prestigious international television event. Held each year in November at the Hilton Hotel, , the Gala attracts over 1,200 television professionals, who gather to celebrate excellence in television produced outside of the U.S. and network with their peers.

THE 2007 INTERNATIONAL EMMY WORLD TELEVISION FESTIVAL SATURDAY & SUNDAY NOVEMBER 17 & 18, 2007

Over 800 television professionals from over 50 countries convene annually in New York City for the International Emmy World Television Festival. The Festival took place the weekend before the International Emmy® Awards Gala and is the only place where one can watch television from all over the world and meet with creators of the nominated programs.

The Festival boasted two full days of programming including the Emmy Nominee Medal Ceremony, cocktails and luncheons, and panels and presentations.

This year’s Festival featured a series of panels focusing on social responsibility in the media. The Festival also continued to explore interactive and digital trends, programming, and provided a place for the industry's top minds to network and exchange ideas.
