Reduce Failure of GCP-2 Dust Hopper Electrical Heater Electrical heating arrangement is provided on dust hoppers of each filter bag chamber of GCP-2 for free flow of dust discharged from bags. Frequent breakdown of electrical heaters were due to ingress of dust & choking of dust in hoppers. It was decided to introduce a timer in the circuit of hopper heaters for intermittent Switch-Off without affecting the performance of dust flow from hoppers of GCP-2. This reduced heater failure and manual cleaning and fugitive emission.
