Carles Soler Perdigó, finora Vescovo titolare di Anglona ed Ausiliare di Barcelona. S.E. Mons. Carles Soler Perdigó S.E. Mons. Carles Soler Perdigó è nato a Barcelona il 12 settembre 1932. Ha fatto gli studi umanistici e di 2 Filosofia nel seminario di Barcelona. Nel 1961 ha ottenuto la licenza in Teologia a Roma presso la Pontificia Università Gregoriana. Nel 1971, dopo un breve passaggio a Lovanio, è ritornato alla Pontificia Università Gregoriana conseguendovi, nel 1973, la licenza in Diritto Canonico. Il 19 marzo 1960 è stato ordinato sacerdote a Roma. A Barcelona ha svolto gli incarichi di professore nel seminario minore (1961-1967) e maggiore (1963-1964), vice rettore (1964-1967) e rettore del seminario minore (1967-1970), segretario generale del Tribunale Ecclesiastico (1973-1974), vicario giudiziale aggiunto (1975-1990), parroco (1985-1991) e vicario episcopale territoriale (1987- 1991). Il 16 luglio 1991 è stato nominato Vescovo titolare di Anglona ed Ausiliare di Barcelona e ha ricevuto la consacrazione episcopale il 22 settembre successivo. Rev.do Daniel Mizonzo Il Rev.do Daniel Mizonzo è nato il 29 settembre 1953 a Nzaou-Mouyondzi, diocesi di Nkayi. Ha compiuti gli studi primari a Mouyondzi (1959-67), ha poi proseguito nel Seminario Minore di Loango (1967-71). Ha continuato nel Seminario Minore "St. Jean" di Brazzaville (1971-74), e poi nel Seminario Maggiore "Card. Emile Biayenda" di Brazzaville (1974-81) per la Filosofia e la Teologia. Ha ricevuto l'ordinazione sacerdotale a Nkayi, il 12 luglio 1981, ed è stato incardinato in quella diocesi. Ha frequentato i corsi filosofici presso il Seminario "Sagrado Corazón" in Onati (Spagna,1950-1958), e quelli teologici, come alunno del Collegio San Vittore a Roma, alla Pontificia Università Gregoriana (1958-1962), ottenendovi la Licenza in Teologia. Entrato fra i Canonici Regolari del Laterano, è stato ordinato sacerdote il 23 dicembre 1962 a "San Sebastián" (Spagna). Dal 1962 al 1969, ha svolto il suo ministero sacerdotale come Professore nel Seminario "Sagrado Corazón" in Onati (Spagna). Poi, andato a New York (U.S.A.), ha ricoperto i seguenti incarichi: vice-parroco nella "Notre Dame Parish" a New York, nella "Saint Joseph Parish" a Middletown e coordinatore dell'apostolato per gli emigrati nella Contea di Orange (1969-1971); 1972-1973 in Spagna; 1973-1977 vice parroco nella "Saint Lucy Parish" nel Bronx; 1977-1990 Parroco del "Our Savior Parish" nel Bronx e Superiore locale del suo Ordine Religioso; dal 1990 al presente, Direttore del Centro Cattolico Ispanico e del Movimento del Rinnovamento Carismatico dell'Arcidiocesi di New York; 1991-1997, Amministratore della "Saint Anthony of Padua Parish" nel Bronx; dal 1997 ad oggi, Vicario per gli Affari Ispanici; dal 2001 è anche Parroco della "Saint Anthony of Padua Parish" nel Bronx. La historia de la gestación y el establecimiento del catolicismo doscientos años atrás, en lo que hoy son los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, especialmente en el Norte y concretamente en Nueva York, estuvo marcada de heroísmo por las enormes pruebas, rechazos, humillaciones y oposiciones que tuvo que enfrentar, los grandes sacrificios y luchas que tuvo que dar, como consecuencia del anti catolicismo intolerante, violento y perseguidor imperante en la época, protagonizado por otras iglesias cristianas provenientes de Europa y establecidas aquí con anterioridad. Han transcurrido dos siglos desde que John Carroll, (1735 – 1815) primer obispo católico en los Estados Unidos, pidiera a Roma la creación de nuevas diócesis y que, respondiendo a esta solicitud pastoral, el Papa Pío VII erigiera por Decreto a Nueva York como Diócesis en abril 8 de 1808, junto a Filadelfia, Boston y Bardstown. Estas cuatro diócesis se desprenden de la única iglesia particular fundada por entonces en la República de los Estados Unidos nacidos después de 1776: la Diócesis de Baltimore que, a su vez, había sido fundada como tal en 1789 convirtiéndose así, en la primera Diócesis de la República nacida en 1776 y hoy, reconocida como la sede primada de los Estados Unidos. Richard Luke Concanen, un fraile dominico irlandés fue nombrado primer Obispo de Nueva York. Pero camino de Roma (donde pasó gran parte de su vida) a Nueva York falleció en la ciudad de Nápoles. Nunca llegó a tomar posesión de su sede episcopal por lo cual el primer obispo residente en Nueva York lo fue el John Connolly, O.P miembro de la Orden de Predicadores al igual que su predecesor.

    Most Reverend Josu Iriondo

    The Most Reverend Josu Iriondo was born on December 19, 1938 in Basque County, Spain where he was raised as the fourth son of seven children of parents Rufino Iriondo (an industrial worker) and Maria Leona Zabaleta. Bishop Iriondo entered the order of Christian Brothers and Canons Regular of the Lateran from 1958 until 1962.He studied at the Gregorian University in Rome and was ordained a priest on December 22, 1962 at San Sebastian (Donostia).He served in New York as a priest since 1968 serving as Chaplain of the Sisters Servants of Mary. In 1969, he served as Assistant at St. Joseph’s Church in Middletown and guided immigrants in Warwick Valley.After three years at St. Joseph’s Church in Middletown, Bishop Iriondo served as the Associate at St. Lucy’s Church in Manhattan in 1973. In 1974 – 1976 he served as Associate at Holy Rosary Church in Manhattan; subsequently, in 1976 he served as Associate for two years at Our Saviour Church in the Bronx and became Pastor of Our Saviour for 12 years. In 1990 Bishop Iriondo became the Director of the Charismatic Renewal and of the Charismatic Center of the Archdiocese of New York. In 1991, Bishop Iriondo became Administrator of St. Anthony of Padua Church in the Bronx and in 1996 Bishop Iriondo was incardinated into the Archdiocese of New York.One year later, Bishop Iriondo was appointed Vicar for Hispanic Affairs. In 1999, Bishop Iriondo was named Honorary Prelate to the Holy Father.He was appointed Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church in the Bronx on October 10, 2000 and in his capacity as Pastor, served on several committees and commissions: • Commission of Inter-Parish Financing • Member of the Priest Council • Member of the Planning Board #6 • President of La Coa Housing Corporation • Member of the Board of “Ministerio Vida Cristiana” • Member of the Board of “El Camino” newspaper • Founding Member of ASH (Asociacion Sacredotes Hispanos) • Member of ANSH (Asociación Nacional Sacerdotes Hispanos) On December 12, 2001, he was ordained Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of New York and named Titular Bishop of Alton.
