Important Dates and Instructions for Evaluation of Even Semester Answer Scripts of Diploma Examination, 2012 IMPORTANT DATES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR EVALUATION OF EVEN SEMESTER ANSWER SCRIPTS OF DIPLOMA EXAMINATION, 2012 1. Last date of submission of answer scripts of 2 nd and 6 th semester 30.05.2012 (REGULAR) (Except Department of Architecture and Pharmacy) (To be submitted at respective zones) 2. Last date of submission of answer scripts of Department of 02.06.2012 Architecture and Pharmacy (REGULAR) (To be submitted at respective zones) 3. Last date of submission of answer scripts of 4 th semester 05.06.2012 (REGULAR & CASUAL) (To be submitted at Kolkata Karigori Bhavan) 4. The evaluation of answer scripts at the centralized evaluation centres will commence from 04.06.2012 and will continue upto 14.06.2012. 5. The scrutiny work of all evaluated answer scripts are to be completed within 18.06.2012. 6. Printed marks foils for posting of theoretical external marks will be provided to the centralized evaluation centres by the Council on 01.06.2012. These marks foils are only to be used for submission of marks. 7. The scrutinized marks of all subjects evaluated in the centralized evaluation centres will have to be submitted by the coordinators of respective centres to the Council latest by 20.06.2012. 8. OBJECTIVE: - The objective of the Scheme is to skill individuals to empower them to engage in wage employment or self-employment leading to improved livelihood through increased earnings, and/or improved working conditions, and/or opportunities to move from informal to formal work sectors.The skills imparted will be compliant with National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF)/ NCVT/ QP - NOS and conform to prevalent National norm and Standards. The training shall be in National Council(s)/ Industry validated and market relevant skills based modules followed by assessment and certification procedures that have an all India acceptance. 3. THE SCHEME : The features of the Scheme are: a. Title: The Scheme shall be referred to as “UTKARSH BANGLA 2016”. Implementing Agency : i. All the interventions funded by the various State Government Departments/ Bodies/ Agencies from State and other funds, leading to Skill Development in the non-project mode, shall be made by the Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development (PBSSD) on their behalf. PBSSD will be supported by a State Project Management Unit (SPMU) ii. The Technical Education & Training Department shall facilitate the interventions made under the ambit of this scheme by providing the required technical support to the PBSSD.

(146*'#%#&'/+%5'55+10 JEXPO-2018 INTRODUCTION The Polytechnic Education in our State was introduced immediately after independence. To look after the academic activities of polytechnic education, ‘State Council for Engineering & Technical Education’ was set-up as a Government out¿ t by an executive order. The Council was a part of the Chief Inspectorate of Technical Education and subsequently of the Directorate of Technical Education. West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development was formed as a Statutory Body under the West Bengal Act XXVI of 2013. West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Technical Education Division) has various activities for conducting a number of courses at Diploma, Post Diploma, Certi¿ cate, Advanced Certi¿ cate, Short Term Vocational Training, Commercial Education level besides monitoring and af¿ liating the academic institutions conducting these courses and development of curricula for the purpose. The Council also advises Government in respect of Technical Education for the areas mentioned above. Apart from aforesaid activities, the Council also conducts entrance examination and prepares merit lists for admission of students to Diploma Courses in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy etc. in the Polytechnics of the State under its af¿ liation.
