Stop Cruel Gassing of Texas Wildlife
Stop Cruel Gassing of Texas Wildlife March 2, 2017 We, the 5,441 people undersigned, urge the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to prohibit “gassing,” the cruel practice of using toxic substances such as gasoline and ammonia to hunt rattlesnakes. Pouring gasoline in dens and crevices to flush out rattlers also harms numerous other animals that share their home with snakes, including 20 endangered species. It’s time to end this outdated practice.
