Tinderbox strengthens the already impressive program and announces the legendary Faithless (UK), rock sensation Marmozets (UK) and pop trio Julias Moon (DK)
Faithless is one of the most successful electronic bands in the world. Their career spans over 18 amazing years, they have released 7 albums (two were number one in the UK) as well as numerous top 10 singles. Totally, Faithless sold over 15 million records worldwide, and has played live for millions of people. They have set new standards with singles like Insomnia, God is a DJ, and We Come 1. In 2012 they were awarded by MixMag as Greatest Dance Act Of All Time, and won the prestigious DJ Awards in Ibiza for best live performance.
Faithless are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, with the release of Faithless 2.0 a re-mix album. The project consists of re-mixes from some of the most respected DJ's and Producers over the last 20 years, but also from well known underground acts. The album brings Faithless on tour, where they will play at selected festivals in the countries where they are especially popular. We are pleased to announce Faithless as part of Tinderbox's strong Saturday program, which already counts Emmeli Sandé, MØ (MOE), Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Axwell / \ Ingrosso.
Marmozets from Britain made a significant breakthrough on the British rock scene at the end of 2014, with their debut album The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets. They built a huge fanbase with their self-released EP Passive Aggressive and the single Vexed. They have played at major festivals; Download, Reading and Leeds, and in 2015 played support for Muse on their Psycho Tour. Marmozets play this summer at Europe's biggest festivals, and now confirmed to play Tinderbox on Sunday, which also include Faith No More, Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding and Spids Nøgenhat.
Julias Moon has with just three singles made a major breakthrough in Denmark. The young Pop trio did great with Bay, followed by Lipstick Lies and the last Palace. Bay was kick- started as single of the week on P3 and later nominated for P3 The Listeners Favorite and Talent Award at P3 Guld award show. Lipstick Lies, topped the airplaychart, and went in A rotation at radio stations P3, Nova and Voice. They were also nominated for two Danish Music Awards in 2014. In 2014 they signed an international record contract with the American label Republic Records, and their debut album will give them the chance for an international breakthrough.
