Key contract for the sauna

The area of the Hørhus dormitory sauna (hereinafter ”the sauna”) is subject to the following rules, which you accept upon signature. The rules are based on general solidarity and respect to other residents and to the people who are responsible for running the Hørhus dormitory (hereinafter “the dormitory”).

1. The sauna room must only be used by the dormitory residents who have paid the deposit, signed the sauna contract and have been given a key. These residents are allowed to bring one (1) guest without informing the sauna committee. In order to bring more guests, please notify the sauna committee in advance. 2. Sauna users are fully responsible for their guests following the rules and are liable for any damages that the guests cause. 3. It is not allowed to disturb others by your behavior inside the sauna area. 4. The sauna may only be used 08:00 and 23:59. 5. It is possible to reserve the sauna for one (1) hour within opening hours. Reservation has to be made at least one (1) hour before the start of the reservation. During the reservation, other people can use the sauna only with approval of the person who made the reservation. 6. It is allowed to lock the doors with the inside lock and use the sauna area privately only during the time of reservation. If the sauna area is locked outside of the reservation time, please contact the sauna committee. 7. Do not move or remove anything from the sauna. It is also not allowed to add or store anything in the sauna room, which is not approved by the sauna committee. Anything left in the sauna room, which is not approved through the sauna committee. Anything left in the sauna will be removed without the possibility of getting it back or refund for it. 8. There is no staff dedicated to cleaning the sauna, therefore everybody must clean after themselves and put everything in place when leaving the premises. 9. The last person leaving the sauna has to lock the sauna room. 10. It is strictly forbidden to use the sauna under influence of alcohol or any other substances forbidden by law. It is forbidden to smoke in the sauna. It is forbidden to put anything onto the sauna heater that has not been approved by the sauna committee. 11. Everybody uses the sauna at their own risk. It is allowed to use the sauna only with the approval of your general practitioner. The dormitory is not responsible for any injuries that have occurred inside of the sauna area. 12. Only members of the sauna committee are allowed to manipulate the sauna control panel. Everybody else is only allowed to use the start/stop button next to the sauna door. 13. It is necessary to shower before using the sauna. 14. The sauna guide placed inside the sauna area contains recommendations on how to use the sauna properly. By signing this contract you confirm to read these recommendations before the first use of the sauna. 15. Keys to the sauna are administrated by the key committee (nøgleudvalget). The key committee is allowed to refuse to make a contract with a person, if a previous key contract had to be cancelled. It is strictly prohibited to lend, exchange and provide key between residents. 16. In case the resident council approves new rules for the sauna, everybody keeping their key automatically accepts the new rules when published on the sauna door or on the webpage of Hørhus dormitory.

Breaking any rules may lead to reprimand, a formal complaint, and/or immediate cancellation of the sauna contract. The sauna committee has the power to end the contract of any user at its own discretion. In case of contract cancellation, the person who broke the rule has to return the sauna key immediately. The sauna area is administered by the sauna committee, in lieu of the resident council (and not by the administrator, nor the inspector of the dormitory). Therefore, it’s the sauna committee or chairman of the resident council. In case of problems, contact the resident council.
