What is the date for settlement into a dormitory? You can settle into your room on September 6, 2021. What are the room prices? Our university received special pricing for Konforist Girls’ and Boys’ Dormitories, and please do remember to specify that you’re a student at Kadir Has University and provide your University ID card to be able to access special pricing. Is summer school included in the price? Summer school fee is calculated separately on the basis of the monthly room fee paid by the student. If the dormitory is being modified, then it’s calculated on the basis of the monthly room fee for another room the student will be directed to by the dormitory management. Is a deposit requested? The amount of deposit is TRY 2,000. The room used by the student is inspected at the end of contractual academic year. All the damages and losses in the dormitory room used by the student are identified. Resulting damage is deducted from the primary amount of deposit paid by the student. The remaining amount is returned to the student’s account at the end of related academic year. Do they provide bedlinen? Bedlinen and pillows are provided by our dormitory. Quilt or pike is supplied by the student. How often are the rooms cleaned? Room cleaning is made twice a week while bedlinen change is made once a week. How often is the shared space cleaned? Garbage collection and general space cleaning are carried out every day. Information on the Internet use? Unlimited and free use of the Internet is available. Is there a laundry and ironing area? What are the terms of use? Yes, an area is provided for washing, drying and ironing clothes and can be used for free. The student supplies the detergent and related products to be used by himself/herself. Is dry cleaning available? Support can be requested from the contracted company in case of a demand by the student. Can I accept guests to the dormitory? If I can, then what are the terms? We accept guests into our lobby and restaurant. We collect guest ID information at the entrance. Can I feed pets in the dormitory? No. Considering the crowd of the shared spaces as well as our students with personal sensitivity (allergy), we cannot host our paws within the dormitory. Do you provide breakfast and dinner services? If you do, what are the time lines? We provide food services in the morning, afternoon and evening. Time lines are announced at the beginning of a semester. Breakfast is free. Can I cook my own dinner? Yes. You can use hobby kitchen. Is there a refrigerator in the rooms? Yes, the rooms have a shared refrigerator for joint use in the room. Which personal furniture can be used in the rooms? Bed with drawers, locker, bathroom drawer, desk, chair, reading light, refrigerator and TV (joint use in the room) Are bathroom and WC included within the rooms? Yes, they are provided for personal use of the room. Any chance of exercising in the dormitory? Girls: Fitness area, sauna, Turkish sauna, indoor pool. Boys: Cross feat, fitness, sauna, massage room, table tennis. What are dormitory entrance-exit hours? Entrance-Exit hours are flexible, requiring the student to provide information on the place he/she will stay and contact information if he/she isn’t going to check into the dormitory after 23:00. Information on security measures? We have night watch, camera system, fingerprint based entry and card based room entry systems. Also, all buildings are monitored via a smart system and have fire and earthquake sensors. Information on transportation? Tramway and IBB buses are available. New tariff times can be provided by the reception in the new semester. What are the health care facilities provided by the dormitory? We have a medical room. Also, we have agreement for an emergency support package service with Medline. Students are provided with detailed international emergency health care service information during check-in.
