Xavier earned the automatic berth from the Atlantic-10 Conference with a 62-61 win over Saint Joseph’s on Saturday to capture the title as the No. 10 seed. Duke, Connecticut and Villanova joined Memphis as the No. 1 seeds, while Tennessee, Texas and Ohio State were the other No. 2 seeds in addition to UCLA. MORRISON NAMED TO USA BASKETBALL MEN’S SENIOR TEAM Gonzaga University junior forward Adam Morrison, the leading scorer in NCAA Division I at 28.6 ppg, is one of the 23 players announced recently by USA Basketball who have been named to the historic 2006-2008 USA Men's Senior National Team program. "This is the first standing USA Men's Senior National Team and the 23 players selected will give us everything we need to form a great USA team," said Jerry Colangelo, who was appointed Managing Director of the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team program on April 27, 2005. "We feel we have versatility, shooters, size, quickness, role players, and defensive stoppers.
