Situation Leigh Cottages are situated in a fabulous location in a sought after part of East Devon in the hamlet of Weston which is just above a delightful small beach known as Weston Mouth. This beach is only accessible by a long walk down a track or from the sea, as such it has become an established favourite with naturists.

The surrounding land is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is part of the “Jurassic Coastline”, and much of the coastline is owned by the National Trust. On a clear day there are panoramic views from Weston eastwards to and Portland and westwards to Teignmouth and Brixham. The can be easily accessed from the property. The Donkey Sanctuary owns land adjoining the property and is an interesting attraction to holiday makers.

Leigh Cottages are just three miles from the elegant seaside resort of Sidmouth and between 2 and 3 miles of the pretty fishing villages of and Beer. Other nearby resorts include Seaton (7 miles) and (13 miles) and (12 miles).

Historic towns inland include Honiton (8 miles) and Ottery St Mary (8 miles) which provide an excellent range of facilities and there is a railway station on the London Waterloo line at Honiton. There is also access to the A30 dual carriageway which links to the west of the M5 motorway and to the east the M3 via the A303.

This unspoilt part of East Devon is ideal for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers.

Description Leigh Cottages have been established for a number of years and are currently owned and managed by a husband and wife team with their resident site warden. The property was originally just 4 holiday cottages (which have been completely updated by the current owners), and in 2006 four substantially larger cottages were built on site.

The Manager’s Accommodation This is currently provided by a static unit which is set in its own secluded gardens and with an attractive outlook over the land and beyond. The Cottages There are 8 single-storey cottages. Wren, Swallow, Dove and Blackbird are all 2 bedroom cottages built in 2006 to the north of the site. Wren and Swallow are a pair as are Dove and Blackbird. Parking is next to each cottage. All the cottages face south. These 4 attached cottages were converted from the original farm buildings belonging to Leigh Farm, and have been extensively renovated. They share an enclosed south-facing garden. Land Beyond the site is a level pasture area which is available for guests to use for children’s outdoor games, barbecues or indeed peering over the hedge and seeing the donkeys! Overall the property extends to 1.65 acres. The Business The resident warden currently manages the site and the day to day business with the help of a cleaning team on Saturdays.
