F100 90S KART CLUB The Big ‘o’! PF INTERNATIONAL KART CIRCUIT 5th to 6th June 2021 PHOTO: GRAEME CAMERON PHOTOGRAPHY F100 90S KART CLUB Driver of the day This very special and very beautiful trophy been kindly donated by Chris Armstrong’s family. It will be awarded annually to the ‘Driver of the Day’ in Pre 89/95 at each O-Plate. Chris, who was affectionately known as Flash through his colourful and vibrant race suit design, was so looking forward to this years Open having never competed in it before. May his Spark and his Spirit ride with you all. Our thanks and love go to the Armstrong Family Jane, Luke, Beccy, Melissa x The main F100 Championships take a break this month for the long awaited F100 Open Championship. It’s amazing that it’s now been 2 years since F100 last came to PFi, a long time in the making so enjoy! The 2019 Open Championship winners have had the luxury of running the much coveted O-plates for all this time, we’ll probably need a crow bar to wrench it from them. There’s been the usual light hearted banter and bragging on the social media groups about who’s favourite and who’s going to win this weekend, which is great to see, just remember all that stops when the ‘Flag Drops’ - There is only one winner. Many of you will be happy to see the format of ‘Shotgun Qualifying’ back for event which is a bit different from the normal 3x heats & final. It’s still amazing to see the amount of interest for this yearly event, Pre 2000 sold out within an hour of entries opening with the unlucky drivers then added to a waiting list. Who will take the honours this year, well... you’ll just have to wait and see!! It’s great to see a resurgence for the Pre95 Class with a few drivers coming out of retirement to have a peddle round. Thank you so much for supporting the event, its great to have you back. Pre89 should be great fun to watch, can Holly Crankshaw, overcome a recent injury to win & can Simon Nicholson overcome the might of ‘Girl Power’ to take victory. The Aqua FX classes have really excelled themselves, the rallying drum was well and truly banged before the entries opened, and what a fantastic effort, a great grid of some class drivers should really see some great racing. And with 3 newcomers jumping in at the Deep End to start in the class at PFi it should be an exciting race to watch. Good Luck and safe racing to everyone Tim, Jay, Chris Your F100 Team Foreword PF International circuit First opened in 1994, this track is the brain-child of Mr Paul Fletcher (a man who has been involved in karting since the 50s). His creation, the UK’s largest outdoor, and only International Grade A kart circuit.
