Yelvertoft Primary School School Lane, Yelvertoft, Northampton, NN6 6LH Yelvertoft Primary School School Lane, Yelvertoft, Northampton, NN6 6LH Telephone: 01788 822 498 Fax 01788 822012 Head Teacher: Mrs Julie Walsh Chair of Governors: Mr Andrew Hemmings Website: www.yelvertoftschool.org.uk Planning Statement – Application PP-02715085 We are proposing to erect a fence along our boundary between our playing field and adjacent fields currently used for horses. The length of the fence would be 60 metres long, and 2.4 metres high. A specification and photograph have been uploaded to the on- line planning application. The existing fence is dangerous for our children as the wire has been broken by the horses leaning over the fence. Two of the concrete posts are also broken. We are planning to leave the existing fence in-situ and erect the new fence just inside our boundary. This will also ensure that any existing shrubs are not disturbed during the installation as they are on the opposite side of the existing fence. There is one tree on our side of the existing fence, and the contractor has said there is a sufficient gap to ensure the new fence goes behind the tree, again without any disturbance to the tree. Pictures of the existing fence have also been uploaded to the on-line planning application. The new fence is required to ensure the safety of our pupils and security of the school site. We have one child with a severe allergy to horses as well. Foundation Hi Lisa, As discussed please find attached our revised quotation if you are able to confirm soon after the school holidays. There is a small saving of £2/m if I place an order for a larger quantity, as I mentioned we are installing the same fence for Blisworth School. Naturally we would be delighted to be awarded the project and with that in mind can I ask you to please consider the following: Our product is manufactured here in the UK by Barkers Fencing. Here is the link that shows the full details of the fence we will install together with all the technical details http://www.barkersfencing.com/products/vguard.htm Barkers Fencing also operate their own galvanising and powder coating operations on site. We offer a quality service and product and have worked on numerous projects for local schools most recently East Haddon and Waynflete. Of particular interest would be Waynflete where we installed 200m of identical fencing. For any references please feel free to contact the school bursar Sarah Newton [email protected]‐ecl.gov.uk Having worked in other schools such as Pitsford, Cogenhoe, Guilsborough, Brixworth, Roade etc. we are familiar with procedures and conduct. We are a small company and do not use sub‐contractors. We are fully qualified and hold NVQ level 2 fencing with appropriate H&S qualifications.
