Registered Charity Number 224742 1 Welcome to Kidz up North 2014 Delighted to bring our flagship event back to EventCity for the second year! We continue to be overwhelmed by the popularity of our Kidz exhibitions. Kidz up North (the flagship of our Kidz events) was launched back in 2001, and at that time was held at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton until November 2012. Over the years, and due to increased popularity, it become very apparent the event had outgrown the Stadium and we relocated to EventCity in November 2013. EventCity offers the space we require to develop inline with visitor and exhibitor expectations. The location has excellent accessibility with the venue being built all on one level with the added benefit of free parking. The venue also boasts a high specification ‗Changing Places‘ toilet facility with a height adjustable changing bench and hoist system. This event (one of our largest Kidz events to date) offers access to over 140 exhibitors, a number of which are new this year. The Kidz exhibitions are the ideal platform to view new and existing equipment, products and services which support children and young adults with disabilities and special needs, their parents, carers and the health and social care professionals who work with them. A full list of exhibitors and the floor plan can be viewed on the centre pages of this guide with more detailed information contained in the A-Z exhibitors list section. A programme of free CPD seminars will run alongside the event, the full timetable can be viewed on page 5 of this guide. Of course, in this difficult economic climate, obtaining funding for much of the equipment on show is increasingly difficult. Don‘t forget to visit the Funding Point (stand numbers E8, E9, E10 and E11) where you can access information on alternative funding streams for equipment and much more. And finally, a big thank you to all our supporters, sponsors, exhibitors, staff and volunteers - without them these events would not be possible. We do hope you find your day useful and informative.
