Objective: We sought to analyze the yeasts differences in body sites, gender and age groups, and to determine whether there is a relationship between certain types of Malassezia species and Malassezia folliculitis. INTRODUCTION Methods: Specimens were taken from the forehead, cheek and chest of 60 patients with Malassezia folliculitis and from Malassezia folliculitis, as with seborrheic dermatitis, the normal skin of 60 age- and gender-matched healthy affects sites where there is an enhanced activity of controls by 26S rDNA PCR-RFLP. (Begerow et al. 2007, Vánky 2008a), four include smut fungi (see Vánky 2008a, b for the current meaning of ‘smut fungi’) while the rest include non-smut fungi (i.e., Ceraceosorales Begerow et al., Exobasidiales Henn., Malasseziales R.T. Moore emend. Begerow et al., Microstromatales R. Bauer & Oberw.). For two orders, Ceraceosorales and Malasseziales, families have not been previously formally described. Änderung vom 10.11.2020, GMBL Nr. 45 Technische Regeln für Einstufung von Pilzen TRBA 460 Biologische Arbeitsstoffe in Risikogruppen Die Technischen Regeln für Biologische Arbeitsstoffe (TRBA) geben den Stand der Technik, Arbeitsmedizin und Arbeitshygiene sowie sonstige gesicherte wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse für Tätigkeiten mit biologischen Arbeitsstoffen, einschließlich deren Einstufung wieder. Sie werden vom Ausschuss für Biologische Arbeitsstoffe (ABAS) ermittelt bzw. angepasst und vom Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales im Gemeinsamen Ministerialblatt bekannt gegeben. Die TRBA „Einstufung von Pilzen in Risikogruppen“ konkretisiert im Rahmen des Anwendungsbereichs die Anforderungen der Biostoffverordnung. Die vorliegende Technische Regel schreibt die Technische Regel „Einstufung von Pilzen in Risikogruppen“ (BArbBl. 10/2002) fort und wurde unter Federführung des Fachbereichs „Rohstoffe und chemische Industrie“ in Anwendung des Kooperationsmodells (vgl. In the present study we describe two new taxa, Malassezia caprae sp. nov. (type strain MA383 = CBS 10434) isolated mainly from goats and Malassezia equina sp. nov. (type strain MA146 = CBS 9969) isolated mainly from horses, including their morphological and physiological characteristics. The validation of these new taxa is further supported by analysis of the D1/D2 regions of 26S rDNA, the ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 rDNA, the RNA polymerase subunit 1 (RPB1) and chitin synthase nucleotide sequences and by analysis of the amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) patterns, which were all consistent in separating these new species from the other species of the genus, and the M. sympodialis species cluster specifically. Phylogenetic analyses using different algorithms based on the sequences of six molecular phylogeny genes, including the small subunit (18S) ribosomal DNA (rDNA), the large subunit (26S) rDNA D1/D2 domains, smuts the internal transcribed spacer regions (ITS 1 and 2) including 5.8S rDNA, the two subunits of RNA polymerase II taxonomy (RPB1 and RPB2) and the translation elongation factor 1-α (EF1-α), were performed to address their phylogenetic yeasts positions. Our analyses indicated that Malassezia and Moniliella represented two deeply rooted lineages within Ustilaginomycotina and have a sister relationship to both Ustilaginomycetes and Exobasidiomycetes. Those clades are described here as new classes, namely Moniliellomycetes with order Moniliellales, family Moniliellaceae, and genus Moniliella; and Malasseziomycetes with order Malasseziales, family Malasseziaceae, and genus Malasse- zia. Phenotypic differences support this classification suggesting widely different life styles among the mainly plant pathogenic Ustilaginomycotina. The phylogenetic analysis of ITS-1 and LSU nucleotide sequences was concordant in placing all three clinical Malassezia isolates close to M. furfur . However, the phylogenetic data on the chs- 2 sequence revealed that clinical isolate 114A is distinct from M. furfur and was closely affi liated to the sequence of M. pachydermatis with high nodal support. In partic- ular, lipid-dependent isolates 114A displayed chs- 2 sequences similar (100%) to that of the non-lipid dependent species Malassezia pachydermatis .
